Frozen Orb is a Sorcerer skill from the Core skill tree. Its features are:

'Creates Condition' means this skill creates this condition i.e it could make a target Vulnerable that other skills can take advantage of. 'Exploits Condition' means this skill takes advantage of a condition, not necessarily of its own making. So for example another skill might Stun and this skill could take advantage of that.


Frozen Orb

Unleash an orb that Chills for 34% and expels piercing shards, dealing a total of 43% damage. Upon expiration, Frozen (CC) Orb explodes, dealing 41% damage and Chilling enemies for 8.7%.

  • Lucky Hit Chance: 4%

  • Enchantment

    Whenever you cast a Non-Basic Skill, you have a 30% chance to launch a Frozen (CC) Orb at a Nearby enemy.

        • Dealing Fire, Cold, or Lightning damage to an enemy increases all damage you deal to them by x 5% for 10 seconds, stacking once per element.

        Changes to Frozen Orb

        • Enhanced Frozen Orb
          • Threshold for bonus damage reduced from 50 to 40 Mana.
          • Maximum distance reduced from 6 to 4.
          • Additional functionality: Bonus explosion damage is increased to x45% against Elites.

        Patch 1.0.3, June 27, 2023

        • Initial base damage increased from 32% to 36%.
        • Explosion base damage increased from 29% to 34%.
        • Greater Frozen Orb - Chance to apply Vulnerable increased from 25% to 30%.
