Overpower
- When you cast a skill, it has a chance to Overpower all the damage it deals.
- Overpowers deal bonus damage based on the sum of your current Life and Fortify. With the Fortify mechanic it is the Barbarian, Druid and Necromancer that take full advantage of it.
- The bonus damage dealt scales with the skill that is Overpowered.
- Damage over time (DoT), passive abilities, and Channeled skills cannot be Overpower.
- Your chance to Overpower cannot increase a basic stat, but they can be guaranteed by specific effects.
Indicators of Overpower
- When an attack Overpowers, the damage will appear in blue.
- If an attack Overpowers and Crits, damage text will appear in orange.

Base Damage * Stat Bonuses + ((Life + Fortified Life) * Stat Bonuses) * Overpower Bonus = Overpowered Damage
Tips to Overpower
The best chance to Overpower is to be at full health and build Fortified Life then trigger and use a skill that deals high damage to maximise the impact.

Changes to Overpower
Patch 1.3.0, January 23, 2024
- Overpower attacks now gain +1% damage, down from +2%, per 1% of your Base Life you have in Fortify.
- Overpower attacks now gain +1% damage, down from +2%, per 1% of your Base Life that you have in bonus life above your Base Life.
Patch 1.2.0, October 17, 2023
- Effects that guarantee an Overpower on your next cast will always be consumed on the next appropriate cast, regardless of whether a target is hit. If you have multiple of such effects activate, only one will be consumed per cast.
- Overpower attacks now always deal up to x50% increased damage, based on your current life percentage.
- Overpower attacks gain +2% damage per 1% of your Base Life you have in Fortify.
- Overpower attacks gain +2% damage per 1% of your Base Life that you have in bonus life above your Base Life.
- All Overpower Damage Affixes have increased by 50%.
- Overpower Damage Paragon Glyphs have increased by 33%.
- Overpower Damage Paragon Nodes have increased by 50%.
