Item Farming Guide

A key element of Diablo 4 is item farming. Searching for that elusive piece of gear to opitmise your build and character.

Nightmare Dungeon Drops

Players are more likely to find the more powerful gear by tackling Nightmare dungeons. Players are more likely to find the following:

• Unique Items
• Sacred Items
• Ancestral Legendary items
• Rare and Legendary Paragon Glyphs

What players really want to know is where a specific item is more likely to drop and what drops it, especially when it comes to uniques. This is where targeted farming comes into play.

Targeted Unique Farming

Unique items are the most targetted of all the items in the game. These are rare and therefore are sought after.

Fortunately, these can be targetted with major bosses providing drops of some of the best items in the game, including Uber Uniques. Bosses to seek out include:

• Echo of Varshan
• Grigoire the Galvanic Saint
• The Beast in the Ice
• Lord Zir
• Duriel
• Andariel

Duriel and Andariel are the main bosses to target for Uber Uniques.

Targeted Farming of Items

In Diablo 4, specific monster types are more likely to drop specific items types, Players targetting a specific piece of gear may want to farm specific areas as indicated below.

This table has been compiled through community testing since the game was released and is ongoing.

While knowing what monster is likely to drop specific item types, it's more important you know where to farm as once you are at the location, specifically dungeons, you will tear through it killing everything and hoping for the drop you are looking for.
