Crowd Control

Crowd Control (CC) is the ability to control multiple enemies for a short period of time, by stunning, making them flee, slowing or halting them entirely. This allows you time to attack a heftier foe whilst debilitating surrounding minions, reposition yourself or run away! The affected targets can no longer attack you.

Every class in Diablo 4 has skills that offer some form of Crowd Control all of which will have a cooldown.

Some enemies will be partially or fully immune to controlling effects.

Listed below are all the skills that come with a crowd control component divided by class.

How does crowd control work with Bosses?

Bosses are not directly affected by crowd control effects, using crowd control skills will fill a boss's stagger meter. When the meter is full, all crowd control affects are applied all at once rendering the boss immobile.

Kick

Charges: 2
Charge Cooldown: 9 seconds
Lucky Hit Chance: 40%
Throw a powerful kick that deals 18% damage and Knocks Back enemies in front of you. Enemies who are Knocked Back into terrain take an additional 105% damage and are Stunned (CC) for 3 seconds.

Mighty Kick

Kicked enemies deal 54% damage to enemies they collide with while being Knocked Back. Enemies damaged this way are Knocked Down (CC) for 2 seconds.

Lucky Hit Chance: 33%
Become Unstoppable and rush forward, pushing enemies with you then swinging through them for 180% damage and Knocking them Back.

Requires any complete Arsenal weapon

Enhanced Charge Upgrade

Enhanced Charge

Enemies who are Knocked Back into terrain by Charge take 150% damage and are Stunned (CC) for 3 seconds.

Leap

Cooldown: 17 seconds
Lucky Hit Chance: 66%
Leap forward and then slam down, dealing 42% damage and Knocking Back surrounding enemies on impact.

Requires any complete Arsenal weapon

Mighty Leap

Enemies damaged by Leap are Slowed (CC) by 70% for 5 seconds.

Requires point in Enhanced Leap.

Throw out a trio of chains that deal 23% damage and Pull In enemies.

Hamstring

Your Bleeding effects have a 15% chance to Slow (CC) Healthy and Injured enemies by 70% each time they deal damage.

Supreme Call of the Ancients Upgrade

Supreme Call of the Ancients

Each of the Ancients gains additional power: Korlic: You gain 10 Fury each time Korlic damages an enemy with his Frenzy . Talic: Enemies are Slowed (CC) by 50% for 1 second when damaged by his Whirlwind . Madawc: 30% chance to Stun (CC) enemies for 3 seconds when using his Upheaval .

Iron Maelstrom

Cooldown: 45 seconds
Lucky Hit Chance: [24%
Activate three times to attach chains to each of your weapons and perform an attack:
First, your Two-Handed Bludgeoning weapon slams into the ground, dealing 60% damage and Stunning enemies for 2 seconds.
Next, your Two-Handed Slashing weapon swipes in front of you, dealing 20% damage and inflicting 120% Bleeding damage over 5 seconds.
Finally, your Dual Wield weapons swing around you, dealing 32% damage per hit.

Concussion

Lucky Hit: Skills using Bludgeoning weapons have up to a 10% chance to Stun (CC) enemies for 2 seconds, or up to a 15% chance when using a Two-Handed Bludgeoning weapon.

Forceful Arrow Knocks Back (CC) Non-Elite enemies if they are Close. If they collide with another enemy, both are Knocked Down (CC) for 1.5 seconds.

Lucky Hit Chance: 35%
Throw blades a short distance, dealing 21% damage. Every 3rd cast Slows enemies by 20% for 2 seconds. Critical Strikes will always Slow.

Improved Twisting Blades

Enemies are Dazed for 1.5 seconds while impaled with Twisting Blades .

Evading through an enemy will cause your next Flurry to deal x30% increased damage and Stun(CC) enemies for 2.5 seconds.

When cast with full Energy Penetrating Shot will Slow (CC) all enemies it hits by 50% for 3 seconds. Elite enemies will also be Knocked Down (CC) for 1.5 seconds.

After Shadow Stepping , you gain 20% Damage Reduction for 3 seconds.

Caltrops

Charges: 2
Charge Cooldown: 12 seconds
Lucky Hit Chance: 25%
Leap backwards and throw caltrops on the ground, dealing 45% damage and Slowing enemies by 50%. Lasts 7 seconds.

Disciplined Dash

Dash Slows (CC) enemies it hits by 30% for 3 seconds. Any enemy already Slowed will be Dazed (CC) for 2 seconds instead.

Throw a smoky concoction at enemies that deals 45% damage and Dazes them for 4 seconds.

Chilling Weight

Chilled enemies have their Movement Speed further reduced by up to 10% and you gain 5%[x] increased Chill effect.

Prerequisite: Can also reach Chilling Weight via Cold Imbuement.

Exposure

Lucky Hit: Dealing damage to an enemy affected by a Trap Skill has up to a 25% chance to:
Reduce the active Cooldowns of your Trap Skills by 20%
Drop a cluster of exploding Stun (CC) Grenades that deal 40% total Physical damage and Stun (CC) enemies for 1.00 seconds

When a player is affected by crowd control, there are skills that can counter the effect. These include the following skills:

Explode into rage, Knocking Back surrounding enemies and gaining Berserking and Unstoppable for 5 seconds. For the next 10 seconds, dealing direct damage with Basic Skills grants Berserking for 5 seconds.

Shapeshift into a Werebear, become Unstoppable, and charge forward, dealing 75% damage and Knocking Back (CC) enemies.
Enemies who are Knocked Back into terrain take an additional 45% damage and are Stunned (CC) for 3 seconds.

Concealment

Cooldown: 20 seconds
Vanish from sight, gaining an advanced form of Stealth for 5 seconds that will not be removed by taking damage.

Concealment also makes you Unstoppable, grants 30%[+] Movement Speed, Unhindered for its duration.

Using an attack Skill during Concealment will break Concealment.

Become Unstoppable and quickly move through the shadows to stab your victim from behind for 80% damage. Gain 50% increased Movement Speed for 2 seconds afterwards.

Transform into lightning, becoming Unstoppable and surging to the target location, dealing 35% damage around you upon arrival.

Enchantment
Evade is replaced with a short range Teleport on a 17.0 second Cooldown. This version of Teleport does not make you Unstoppable.
