Most of the world is still trying to get back to some sort of normality but in China things are moving a little quicker. The ChinaJoy event is currently underway and Blizzard is in attendance. For Diablo folk there’s a focus on Diablo Immortal and there’s some new footage to check out.

Well, here we are, folks. The final episode our Diablo 1 playthrough. Lazarus has been vanquished and there’s only one more challenge and that’s Diablo himself. We’ve endured the catacombs, the caves, and now hell itself. We’ve made stupid mistakes, we’ve sworn at the game and each other, and we’ve rejoiced at finding great loot. Now it’s time for the final showdown.

We’re getting close to taking down the big guy but there’s still the tricky job of dealing with Lazarus. In this part of our complete Diablo 1 playthrough, Elly and I finally reach hell where things are getting heated.

Diablo 1 cave levels beckon in this episode which means new monsters and new a new tileset. The Catacombs took longer than we’d expected but the dank stink of the caves was a breath of fresh air after the waves of goatmen.

Having recently completed Diablo 1 again as part of our ongoing playthrough series I am right in the classic Diablo zone at the moment. I was pleased to see a remake of the original Diablo 1 trailer created by Bence Monori appear. Bence is a graphic designer at indie game studio Forbidden Realms Studio. This new trailer even comes with new scenes.

A couple of days ago we posted the Diablo 2 remastered trailer and today there’s another to check out. This Diablo 3 trailer, which was one of the better trailers for the third game, has been given a makeover. Well worth revisiting this one as it was one of the better Diablo 3 trailers.

With the Skeleton King disposed of, we decide to head deeper into Diablo 1 and finally make our way onto a new tileset. Next up is the catacombs with their tighter corridors, locked doors, and annoying monsters.

The Diablo 1 adventure continues today with the third part of our playthrough. After disposing of the butcher and running around in circles a lot, it’s time for the Skeleton King. For some reason, we thought he would be easy to take down after the Butcher.

Part 1 of yesterday’s adventures in the world of Diablo 1 with Elly and I left us ready for the Butcher. Part 2 is now available for your viewing pleasure. Well, we hope it’s pleasurable.

With the recent launch of PureDiablo, Rush and I decided that 20 years was a long enough gap for playing Diablo 1 and we should venture back into the depths. Neither of us have played it in all that time so going back was a little like playing it for the first time. It’s amazing how much you forget about the dungeons, monsters, items, and how the game mechanics functioned. Watch us revisit the game in this multipart series.
