We’ve all become familiar with the Diablo 4 Season updates coming a month or so after the Season launches, but that’s about to change.
Once the Season starts, players settle into their builds. Then, along comes the mid-Season update, which usually changes a lot, possibly making some builds sub-optimal. It’s not a great experience.
The plan now is to release rapid updates for anything that needs addressing as soon as possible after the Season starts. They think that these updates can now be rolled out within a week or two.
If any special themed powers are deemed to be underperforming, they will be buffed and builds that seem overpowered will be slightly tuned down.
These changes start with Season 8 and you’ll see Blizzard reacting quicker to any problems when they arise. This is a much better system and allows players to settle in while the build affecting bugs are being quickly addressed.
It’s been frustrating to have to wait so long for important fixes and I certainly hope there are fewer issues at the start of each Season moving forward.
