Grigoire

From Diablo 4 Wiki: Classes, Builds & Items | PureDiablo

Grigoire, The Galvanic Saint, is a member of the Boss Ladder, an Uber Unique who can be farmed for Unique items as part of the endgame content.

He was added in Season 2: Season of Blood. Following the release of Patch 1.2.0, Grigoire was then added as a new endgame boss on the Eternal realm. Grigoire is available in World Tier 3 and World Tier 4.

He is best tackled at Level 75+ if doing World Tier 4.

How to Summon Uber / Torment Grigore

To ccollect the reward from Grigore's Hoard once defeated in Torment 1 or higher, players require:

12 x Living Steel - Chests in Helltides, particularly Tortured Gift Chests

Defeating your first Tormented Boss drops one Resplendent Spark as a first-time reward (account bound).

Where do you summon Grigoire?

Grigoire is summoned at the Hall of the Penitent in Dindai Flats.

Defeating Grigoire

Be sure to get your Lightning resistance up as high as possible.

Grigoire will first appear by dropping down in the middle of the room with a large attack so position yourself on one of the safe tiles that haven't been electrified around the perimeter.

  • One of his first attacks is sweeping and emits small balls of lighting which are avoidable if you can keep behind him. The upgraded version of this attack has a larger sweep and will knock you back but does not stun. If your Lightning Resist is decent these balls of lightning shouldn't pose much of a threat.
  • He sometimes slams his mace into the ground creating pools of electricity around the entire arena that almost instantly emit Lightning damage. Again, if you're behind him you will avoid these pools.
  • Another of his attacks is to summon Knights Penitent. These foot soldiers aren't that tough but act as a resource for corpses, pots, 'on-kill' and other abilities. An area of effect skill will dispose of these guys quickly. It takes him around 2 seconds to summon them during which time he's a sitting target.
  • At around 80% health the pylons across the arena burst into life. Grigoire powers them up, taking about 3 seconds during which time he's a sitting target again. Electrical fences will form between these pylons restricting your ability to move freely around the arena and even preventing you from reaching parts of it altogether. They inflict Lightning Damage if you run into them or Grigoire knocks you back into one.
  • Finally, he ramps up this attack, disappearing into the air and electrifying all but two floor tiles. He'll drop down onto one of the electrified tiles causing large damage. Move quickly into the safe titles to avoid this or getting boxed in by the fences.
