The Butcher has appeared in all previous Diablo games. In Diablo 1 he was called the Butcher[1], in Diablo 2 The Smith[2] was a similar monter, and he also appeared as The Butcher in Diablo 3. Now he's back in Diablo 4.
Unlike previous games where players would encounter The Butcher during the questline, The Butcher in Diablo 4 makes random appearances.
Where to find The Butcher
While inside any Dungeon, The Butcher can spawn to surprise players in Diablo 4 and he's not easy to tackle. He can appear at any level.
The Butcher's Attacks
- Melee - Swinging Cleaver or sickle
- Hook - Pulls players in and then stunning the player.
- Headbutt - Smaches you with his head causing a stun effect.
- Roar - Emits burst of blood slowing the player.
- Charge - Run and rams into the player causing a stun effect.
What happens if you die fighting The Butcher
If The Butcher kills a player, he will disappear and will not be there on your resturn into the Dungeon. If you find him, make sure you are ready and have the best gear possible equipped.
What Doeas the Butcher Drop?
The Butcher will drop a unique called The Butcher's Cleaver.
