The Grandfather is a Mythic Unique available exclusively in the Torment difficulty tiers. Drop rates improve as you progress into higher Torment levels.

While any monster can drop The Grandfather, Belial offers the highest drop rates by far. Andariel and Duriel come next, with 50% better odds than other Lair Bosses.

  • Belial in the Palace of the Deceiver, in Amber Sands, Kehjistan (Map).
  • Andariel in the Hanged Man's Hall, near Tarsarak in Kehjistan (Map).
  • Duriel in the Gaping Grevasse near Gea Kul in Kehjistan (Map).
  • Can be crafted at the Jewelers.


The Barbarian and Necromancer can equip the The Grandfather.

Description: Increases your Critical Strike Damage by 100%[x]. The other properties on this weapon can roll higher than normal.

  • Now craftable with runes.

  • Uber uniques changed to Mythic uniques.

Patch 1.4.2, June 6, 2024

  • Ignores Durability Loss. This Affix can now no longer roll as a Greater Affix or be Upgraded via Masterworking.
