Barrier generation creates a virtual shield that protects against damage to an amount determined by skills and items. Once the timer has expired or the Barrier points have been depleted through damage taken the damage will start to reduce your health.
Monsters can also have Barriers.
What does Barrier Look Like
The player's Health Globe shows a blue hue indicating there is an active Barrier. The Barrier value can not be greater than your Base Life.
Monsters with the Status Effect Barrier have their names surrounded in a blue hue which reduces as the Barrier runs out.
Other Skills that work with Barrier
Only the Barbarian, Druid and Sorcerer have skills which grant or improve Barrier. However, the Rogue and Necromancer
