Every gamer loves a sale and there’s always a lot going on this time of year. Blizzard is joining in the discount fun with the Diablo Summer sale.
Blizzard is celebrating 20 years of Diablo 2 with a few goodies including a retrospective from current the Diablo IV team, some speedrunning action, a limited edition Lord of Terror bust, and you can grab some Prime Evil Wings.
On the 29th of June, Diablo 2 will be turning 20. With this special date approaching some members of the community have been trying to tie that date in with a Diablo 2 Resurrected announcement. Think again because Blizzard has commented.
2020 has been one of the more disturbing years I can ever remember in my lifetime. The pandemic and the political situation in numerous countries around the world have been eye-openers for many. The Black Lives Matter movement has gone global and there are long overdue positive changes slowly starting to happen. Today Blizzard’s J. Allen Brack, issued a statement in support of Black Lives Matter.
Yes, yes, I know Diablo is primarily a PC franchise but it will be appearing on the next-gen consoles. Today it was Sony’s turn to reveal their next console, the Playstation 5, along with a load of new games coming to the platform.

With no E3 this year and other industry events canned due to COVID-19, other arrangements have been made. One of the events to take place is IGN’s Summer of Gaming. Blizzard is to make an appearance.
Following the departure of Nevalistis, we have a new CM in charge and it’s Adam Fletcher that’s taking over. Adam is back at Blizzard where he was previously the Esports Product Lead for StarCraft: Remastered & Warcraft III: Reforged.
COVID-19 still has people in lock-down which has prompted Blizzard to hold a virtual version of Take Your Child to Work. With Blizzard employees locked up like the rest of us, they have released some of their virtual activities for everyone to enjoy.
Author of the Stay Awhile and Listen book series on the history of Diablo and Blizzard North, David Craddock, has released a lengthy excerpt from the books. The free to read excerpt covers the atmosphere of the levels and demons leading up to the encounter against Diablo. This has been released to help battle the COVID-19 outbreak.
