Since Diablo 4 launched, the game has gone through quite a journey, and we’ve read about all the complaints week in and week out. But, what does the future of Diablo 4 look like?
At the end of last week, we joined other members of the Diablo 4 community program to get a sneak peek at what’s planned for the rest of this year and the next expansion. There was a lot to talk about, as you can imagine. For the past six months or so, all we’ve read and heard is that Diablo 4 “is done”, or the game is “directionless”, and the devs “don’t know what they are doing.” Perhaps that’s a little over the top because they are listening. No, really, they are.
While we cannot go into any detail about what was shown or discussed last week, a lot is being addressed based on player feedback, and I don’t mean “streamer feedback”, I mean player feedback. As someone who would like to play more than I can due to real-life commitments (yes, I do have a job other than this website), a lot is being addressed to please all player types. Whether you want to blast through it or simply enjoy killing some demons, what we heard was reassuring.

I would love to share more about what’s coming up, but I will be banished to the depths of Hell to be dealt with by Diablo himself if I do, and we don’t want that, right? Sadly, you’re all going to have to wait until either Blizzard shares the info or gives us the green light to share it with you. Either way is good. Just hang in there, the future of Diablo 4 is looking bright as we head into the latter part of 2025.
