[wiki]Bashiok[/wiki] made a few quick posts this afternoon, though they’re more about keeping the forums warm than to breaking any new information. When asked whether D3 will reveal D2’s secrets, someone actually asked about the chat gem (is anyone still mystified by that?) and also the Standard of Heroes uber quest reward item. Bashiok said:

The Standard of Heroes is a reward. It doesn’t do anything, except maybe give you a sense of accomplishment. [/BLUE]
Quite a straight forward answer there. In a later post he turned mischievous when asked whether we’ll see charms again in Diablo III.

That joking doesn’t sit well with one reader, who rebukes Bashiok for his joviality. The internet, after all, is serious business. Bashiok replies:
“Aww don’t be like that. It’s just not a topic I can really go into, and granted I could just as easily not post as act goofy, but we’re all here to talk about a game. I think I’ve made some very nice posts, not all of them are gold but I don’t think it’s fair to pass judgment that I’m just posting crap all the time. There’s time to have some fun while we wait.”
