The Jeweler offers services that focus on gems, runes and legendary jewelry and mythic items.
You gain access to the jeweler at level 20 when you receive a quest to visit a Jeweler in Kyovashad (Map) who will ask you to do some simple gem crafting.
Which Services Do Jewelers Provide?
- Crafts gems into higher quality gems
- Adds sockets to items
- Unsockets gems from items
- Crafts a handful of Mythic items
- Reforges runes into other runes
- Crafts Legendary jewellery Caches
How Do I Craft Gems?
Gems drop from monsters, appear in Cache rewards, or can be mined from ore veins found across the world (usually at the base of rocky terrain). You can socket them into gear immediately, or take them to the Jeweler to combine multiples into higher-quality versions with stronger bonuses.

Adding Sockets
For the price of 1 Scattered Prism the Jeweler will add a socket to a Magic, Rare, Legendary and Unique item.

Transmute Resplendent Sparks
If you have been farming Uber Uniques from Duriel and Andariel that you do not need you can salvage them at the Blacksmith for Resplendent Sparks which can then be used at the Alchemist to craft into other Uber Uniques listed below.
Each recipe requires:
- 4 Resplendent Sparks
- 50,000,000 Gold
- Requires Level 35

Changes to Jeweler
Patch 2.0.1, October 8 2024
- The Jeweler is now accessible at Level 1 instead of at Level 15.
- Chipped Gems can now be crafted at Level 1 instead of Level 15.
- Gem Fragments now start dropping at Level 5.
- Socketing costs only require Scattered Prisms for Ancestral items. Additionally, Scattered Prisms will no longer drop prior to playing Torment Difficulties.
Patch 1.4.0, May 14, 2024
- Removed all Crude gems. Stats and affixes changed. All noted on the individual gem pages.
- Jeweler no longer upgrades Jewelry, Blacksmith handles all upgrades.
