Hot on the heels of the news we posted yesterday regarding the Gauntlet Leaderboards, Blizzard has today issued a statement to say they have now changed their plans.
In an update from Rod Fergusson, he says they have had to now push that 13 February date back.
Great seeing the excitement about the Gauntlet & Leaderboards. We’re still on track for S3 but decided to take a bit more time to polish a few things up, so it won’t be launching on Feb 13 as I mentioned on a recent podcast. We’ll share more details and the new date soon.
Some disappointing news there as it would have been good to see the leaderboards appear sooner rather than later. Still, I would much rather see them launch with the “polish” than have to go back and try and fix things up again.
There is now no date for the launch but we’ll let you know as soon as they have finally nailed it down.
Update: We have been reliably informed by Blizzard that this delay will not be a long delay.
