We were not sure if Blizzard would go for it with an expansion announcement at BlizzCon, but the good news is they have. The first expansion is Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred.
The first Diablo 4 expansion is called the Vessel of Hatred and it is coming out late 2024. While information is a little thin on the ground at the moment, we know it’s set in the jungles of Torajan and there is a new class that’s never been seen before in the Diablo universe.
The epilogue in Diablo 4 sets the scene for expansion with Neyrelle traveling west through the Fractured Peaks and deserts of Kehjistan before she boards a boat to sail across the Twin Seas. She sails to the so far unrevealed western continent with Mephisto’s Soulstone in hand with the bloodied wolf in tow.
We do know that Kurast and its docks will be the central hub for the expansion, a place that will be more than familiar to Diablo 2 players. More information about the expansion will be revealed later in 2024 and you can also check out our recent speculation article which pretty much confirmed this expansion and expected features.
