We’ve been noticing that some players have suddenly started picking up some of the rarer six Uber Unique items since the latest patch dropped but it appears to have been a screw-up.
According to Blizzard, a hotfix will drop later tonight to address this. The note reads:
We have temporarily disabled Uber Uniques from dropping in-game while we address an issue with the Helltide Chest drops. Players will not be able to obtain the six Uber Unique items until a hotfix which we expect to be implemented between Friday and Saturday morning (GMT). Other unique items will still be available from these chests.
The question is, will the lucky players who did manage to snag one be allowed to keep them or will they vanish? If it’s not the fault of the players that they have dropped for them then they should be able to keep them. Stranger things have happened in the past though so we’ll have to wait and see how this pans out.
