Diablo 4 Launched! After our break from Diablo for a couple of years, D2R had not been announced and Diablo 4 had just been announced. That seems like such a long time ago, Now here we are on launch night.
There has been so much going on here on PureDiablo in the lead-up to this day, what with developing the Diablo 4 Interactive Map, slowly and methodically adding to the ongoing Diablo 4 Wiki project (feel free to edit and chip in if you can), and of course, looking ahead to new things for the community to make use of. When Elly and I think about how far the site has come, it’s been down to some fantastic community members either new to the site or from our old site. I want to give a shout-out to the team, in no particular order, who helps on the site out of a pure passion for the franchise. These guys have been fantastic, and are true fans. This list also includes some recently joined team members who are still finding their feet. If I missed anyone, apologies in advance, it’s been a long day 🙂

Since we started covering the Diablo franchise 26 years ago, this is probably the most excited we have been for a Diablo release. It promises a lot and the development team has stuck to their core pillars bringing what will be a version of Diablo we perhaps hoped to see with Diablo 3.
We have a lot we want to do on PureDiablo but we are a small core team doing it for the love of the game so things take a little longer, but rest assured, we’re aiming for high-quality content you can all enjoy for many years.
Elly and I would also like to give a special thanks to all our PurePremium members, your direct support helps keep the server lights on, and with our unexpected need to upgrade last month, your contributions went directly to making that happen.
Also a shout out to the Diablo 4 dev team who appear to have nailed it. Without their work, none of us would be enjoying what is truly the best ARPG franchise ever created in our eyes. We wish them a successful launch.
We will see you on the other side of midnight and we look forward to continuing to serve this great community for many more years. Now go enjoy the game. Don’t rush it, savour it.
