The best of the best
Diablo 4 has the lofty distinction of being Blizzard’s fastest selling game to date. So, it goes without saying that a lot of people have been playing it since it first dropped in Early Access on June 1st. Most of those gamers have been busy with making their way through the campaign, leveling their main character, experimenting with different classes and builds, and diving into the lavish endgame.
However, a small subset of very focused, and brave, Diablo fans have devoted most, if not all, of their time toward achieving just one goal. On May 26th, Blizzard announced the Make Your Mark challenge, which was a race designed to test the best of the best. The first 1000 players to reach level 100 in Hardcore mode would be rewarded by having their IGNs immortalized on a Lilith effigy. After some initial negative press about pre-release reviewers having an unfair advantage, Blizzard tweaked the rules and the contestants were off and running.
The big reveal
Earlier today during a party at Blizzard HQ to celebrate the launch of Diablo 4, it was announced that the race had reached its conclusion. The announcement included the unveiling of a real-life statue of Lilith, which will serve as a monument to those 1000 dedicated Hardcore players. Community Lead Adam Fletcher also shared the fact that the statue will occupy a permanent place on the Blizzard campus.

Congrats to all
The complete list of IGNs that are to be enshrined with Lilith will soon be announced. In the meantime, we offer our hearty congratulations to all those who succeeded in, as well as attempted, this most arduous endeavor. Huzzah!
