The Game Awards nominees were revealed this evening and Diablo 4 is listed in two categories for awards this year.
The two categories where they could scoop a gong this year are Innovation in Accessibility and Best Multiplayer. Diablo 4 did not make the Best RPG category.
This year has been a great year for new games and the competition has been tough. Last week Baldur’s Gate 3 scooped a load of Golden Joystick awards and it’s sure to do the same at the Game Awards.
It was interesting to see that Starfield did not make the GOTY list despite it proving a big hit and the same goes for Hogwarts. It was unlikely Diablo 4 would have made that list considering what else has come out this year but I did think it should have appeared in a number of the other categories such as art and I do believe it can be considered an RPG.
Voting is now underway in all the categories, of which there are 30+ to get through. Votes can be cast on the Game Awards page right now and you know what to do if you’re a Diablo 4 fan, get voting!
The winners will all be announced on 7 December during the live show.
