Happy New Year! What a year it’s been. 2023 truly was a great year for the Diablo franchise.
We kicked off 2023 with news that a Diablo 4 beta was due in March which was earlier than some expected and it was a great way to get the hype train rolling for the June release. Time flew by between the beta and the launch.
I think it’s safe to say that Diablo 4 got off to a sticky start but it’s what we expected. With lots of hotfixes, that one patch, and two Seasons, the developer team has been pushed hard to get the game to where it currently is.
What’s been great has been the response to feedback from the community and the developer chats. The dev chats have given us a better insight into the team’s thought process before major changes. A huge thanks to the dev team for keeping us all in the loop.
The site has had quite a few changes over the past 12 months and there’s more we want to do, more things we want to add and we’ll be pursuing those as best we can. We do still need help, we’re a tiny team that works on PureDiablo voluntarily purely for the love of the franchise so if you’re a coder, a news writer, a build expert, or someone who thinks they can contribute then do get in touch. With the Diablo 4 constantly changing we need to keep on top of all our guide sections in the Diablo 4 Wiki and around the site.
I also want to say a special thanks to Nekro who really helped out with coding work at the start of the year and also Gazerrick who has been doing excellent at helping me keep you up to date with the news and articles.
Also a big shout-out to the forum moderators, most of whom have been with us for well over a decade if not longer. You guys keep the forums clean, spam-free, and tidy making PureDiablo a place that’s purely focused on the games we all love whether it’s Diablo 2, Diablo 3, or Diablo 4.
The Diablo Podcast has also had a great year with HCXanth at the helm. We put out our 46th show to end the year and we’ll be going into 2024 as eager as ever to keep you entertained. Many thanks to everyone who has taken part including co-host Neinball, N3rdwards, and the many guests that have joined us this year.
This month we were also added to the Diablo Partner Program which will help us provide more content for the fans. Exciting times ahead!
