Barbarian Skill Tree

The Barbarian has access to seven groups of skills and Passive Skills in general, they serve the following purposes:

  • Basic – Generate Fury (Barb resource) and deal Physical Damage. Always available to cast.
  • Fury – Deal Physical Damage at a cost to Fury
  • Defensive – Mitigate damage received and increase survivability
  • Brawling – Reposition you or boost damage during a fight
  • Weapon Mastery – Unleash powerful attacks that altar the battle
  • Ultimate – Deal Physical Damage with Cooldowns with some generation of Fury
  • Key Passives

The Barbarian can have four weapons on his/her person, two single-handed weapons and two two-handed weapons, and will swap between them automatically depending on the skill being used.

Certain skills generate Fury which is used to execute other skills. Fury will drain from the orb over a short time if not used.

Certain Passive Skills can affect an entire category of skills, for example points in the Guttural Yell passive means all your Shouts cause your enemies to inflict less damage on you for a few seconds.

Skills are augmented by Passive Skills which are listed below the skills in the same category.

Basic

Bash

Generate Fury: 15
Lucky Hit Chance: 50%
Bash the enemy with your weapon, dealing 33% damage. After bashing enemies 4 times, your next Bash will clobber, Stunning (CC) enemies for 1.5 seconds. Clobber twice as often while using a Two-Handed weapon.

Enhanced Bash Upgrade

Enhanced Bash

Clobbering an enemy grants you 20% Maximum Life as Fortify.

Battle Bash Upgrade

Battle Bash

Clobbering an enemy generates an additional 10 Fury.

Combat Bash Upgrade

Combat Bash

After Critically Striking 4 times with Bash using a Two-Handed weapon, your next Core or Weapon Mastery Skill will Overpower.

Flay

Generate Fury: 15
Lucky Hit Chance: 50%
Flay the enemy, dealing 5.5% damage and inflicting 48% Bleeding (DoT) damage over 5 seconds.

Enhanced Flay Upgrade

Enhanced Flay

Flay has a 15% chance to make the enemy Vulnerable for 5 seconds. Double this chance when using a Two-Handed weapon.

Battle Flay Upgrade

Battle Flay

When Flay deals direct damage to an enemy, they take x15% increased Bleeding (DoT) damage from you for the next 3 seconds.

Combat Flay Upgrade

Combat Flay

When Flay deals direct damage to an enemy, you gain 4% Damage Reduction and 40 Thorns for 6 seconds. This stacks up to 5 times.

Lunging Strike

Generate Fury: 12
Lucky Hit Chance: 50%
Lunge forward and strike an enemy for 33% damage.

Damage: Physical Damage
Requires any complete Arsenal weapon

Enhanced Lunging Strike Upgrade

Enhanced Lunging Strike

Lunging Strike deals 30%[x] increased damage and Heals you for 2% Maximum Life (33) when it damages a Healthy enemy.

Battle Lunging Strike Upgrade

Battle Lunging Strike

Lunging Strike also inflicts 20% Bleeding damage over 5 seconds.

Combat Lunging Strike

Critical Strikes with Lunging Strike grant you Berserking for 1.5 seconds.

Requires point in Enhanced Lunging Strike.

Frenzy

Generate Fury: 7
Lucky Hit Chance: 30%
Unleash a rapid flurry of blows, dealing 30% damage with each pair of hits. If Frenzy hits an enemy, its Attack Speed is increased by 20%[+] for 3 seconds, up to 60%[+].

Enhanced Frenzy Upgrade

Enhanced Frenzy

While Frenzy is granting 60%[+] bonus Attack Speed, the Fury costs of your Core skills are reduced by 25%.

Battle Frenzy Upgrade

Battle Frenzy

While Berserking, your other skills gain 6%[+] Attack Speed for each stack of Frenzy you have.

Combat Frenzy Upgrade

Combat Frenzy

You gain 5% Damage Reduction and 5% Movement Speed per stack of Frenzy you currently have.

Lucky Hit Chance: 50%
Slam your hammer down with the fury of the Ancients, dealing 98% damage to a concentrated area.

Upgrade Hub
Enhanced Hammer of the Ancients

Gain x3% more Fury for 5 seconds for each enemy damaged by Hammer of the Ancients stacking up to 10 times.

Furious Hammer of the Ancients

Hammer of the Ancients gains + 5% Critical Strike Damage and Critical Strike Chance for every 10 Fury you had when cast. It's Critical Strikes Knock Down enemies for 2 seconds.

Requires point in Enhanced Hammer of the Ancients.

Violent Hammer of the Ancients

After Overpowering with Hammer of the Ancients, you deal x 40% more damage for 5 seconds.

Rend

Cleave enemies in front of you, dealing 25% damage and inflicting 120% Bleeding (DoT) damage over 5 seconds.

Dealing direct damage with Rend extends the duration of Vulnerable on enemies by 2 seconds.

Violent Rend

Rend deals 30%[x] increased damage to Vulnerable enemies.

Tear into the ground with your weapon and fling debris forward, dealing 132% damage.

Upheaval has an 45% chance to Stun (CC) all enemies it damages for 3 seconds.

Dealing Direct Damage to an enemy with a skill that is not Upheaval causes your next cast of Upheaval to deal 20%[x] increased damage, stacking up to 10 times.

If Upheaval damages at least 2 enemies or a Boss, you gain Berserking for 3 seconds, increased to 5 seconds if it damages at least 4 enemies.

Double Swing

Lucky Hit Chance: 30%
Sweep your weapons from opposite directions, dealing 66% damage with each weapon. Enemies caught in the center are damaged by both.

Rapidly attack surrounding enemies for 52% damage.

Requires any complete Arsenal weapon

Gain 1 Fury each time Whirlwind deals Direct Damage to an enemy, or 4 Fury against Elite enemies.

Smash the ground, dealing 80% damage and Stunning (CC) surrounding enemies for 3 seconds.

Enhanced Ground Stomp

Ground Stomp generates 60 Fury and has a 2 second increased Stun (CC) duration.

Tactical Ground Stomp Upgrade

Tactical Ground Stomp

Ground Stomp is now a Brawling Skill and deals 900% increased damage. It also applies Vulnerable for 4 seconds.

Bellow a rallying cry, increasing your Movement Speed by 30%[+] and Resource Generation by 40%[x] for 6 seconds, and Nearby allies for 3 seconds.

Lucky Hit Chance: 40%
Throw a powerful kick that deals 60% damage and Knocks Back enemies in front of you. Enemies who are Knocked Back into terrain take an additional 105% damage and are Stunned (CC) for 3 seconds.

Damaging enemies with Kick makes them Vulnerable for 4 seconds.

Power Kick

Kick is now a Core skill. If Kick damages an enemy it consumes all your Fury and deals an additional 25% damage per 10 Fury spent. Kick no longer Knocks Back enemies.

Skewer enemies in front of you, dealing 25% damage which is guaranteed to Overpower. Then rip your weapon out, damaging enemies for their total Bleeding amount and removing all Bleeding damage from them.

Call upon 3 Ancients to aid you in battle for 6 seconds.
  • Talic spins in a whirlwind rapidly attacking enemies for 117% damage.
  • Madawc upheaves the ground, dealing 331% damage
  • Korlic leaps at enemies, dealing 175% damage and swings his weapons in a frenzy, dealing 58% damage per hit.

    While Call of the Ancients is active, gain 20%[+] bonus Attack Speed and 25%[x] increased damage.

    Each of the Ancients gains additional power: Korlic: You gain 10 Fury each time Korlic damages an enemy with his Frenzy . Talic: Enemies are Slowed (CC) by 50% for 1 second when damaged by his Whirlwind . Madawc: 30% chance to Stun (CC) enemies for 3 seconds when using his Upheaval .

    Iron Maelstrom

    Cooldown: 45 seconds
    Lucky Hit Chance: [24%
    Activate three times to attach chains to each of your weapons and perform an attack:
    First, your Two-Handed Bludgeoning weapon slams into the ground, dealing 60% damage and Stunning enemies for 2 seconds.
    Next, your Two-Handed Slashing weapon swipes in front of you, dealing 20% damage and inflicting 120% Bleeding damage over 5 seconds.
    Finally, your Dual Wield weapons swing around you, dealing 32% damage per hit.

    Supreme Iron Maelstrom

    Dealing direct damage to an enemy after swapping weapons reduces Iron Maelstrom's Cooldown by 1 second.

    Gushing Wounds

    When causing an enemy to Bleed, you have a chance equal to your Critical Strike Chance to increase the Bleed amount by 70%[x], and also increased by 100%[+] of your Critical Strike Damage bonus.

    Overpowering a Bleeding enemy creates an explosion that inflicts 150% Bleeding damage over 5 seconds.
