The Treasure Goblin first appeared in Diablo 3 and returned in Diablo 4.
This loveable goblin randomly appears in the world of Sanctuary and can appear in just about any location including on the open world and inside Dungeons.
What is a Treasure Goblin?
This little guy will appear with his bag of gold and drop a trail of gold behind him which you can pick up.
You should always try and chase down a treasure goblin but there's a catch, he will run away fast and try and evade you. Assuming you do manage to catch the goblin, you need to do it quickly or he will teleport away through a portal.
Treasure Goblins can be spotted on the mini-map or by trails of gold.
Why kill the Goblin?
Loot of course. If you kill a goblin you will be showered with gold and he will also likely drop a legendary item and possibly a Scattered Prism.
