Subo is a ranged Mercenary who specialises in steady arrow fire and battlefield awareness. Once a respected archer from the mountain tribes, he became a disgraced outcast after failing those who once relied on him. Now he works as a bounty hunter for hire.
Subo keeps his distance from the melee, raining down volleys of arrows to thin out packs and mark priority targets. He offers a mix of scouting utility and ranged support that can make chaotic situations far easier to manage.
The quest required to unlock Subo is A Feather on the Scale. You can pick it up the first time you visit the Den during the Thrust into the Dark chapter of the Vessel of Hatred storyline.
What Subo Does Well
Subo focuses on ranged pressure, detection, and making the battlefield easier to read. His skills lean toward:
- Scouting and locating enemies or resources with tools like Seeker. He's a huge help in keeping your herbs stocked up. You can fly through your supply if you prefer to have an Elixir and the three kinds of Incense active at the same time. He'll ensure you never miss a plant.
- Applying steady chip damage from afar rather than drawing aggro.
- Marking targets for you to finish off. These marked kills can grant useful bonuses such as a Resource boost.
- Offering a smoother pace of combat through better visibility and constant ranged support.
He isn’t a tank or a burst-damage ally. His strength comes from information, positioning, and consistent ranged pressure.

Subo's Skills
Subo’s skill tree centres on scouting, ranged attacks, and evasive utility. His abilities fall into three broad themes:
Scouting & Awareness
- Seeker highlights nearby enemies and resources, making navigation and overworld farming more efficient.
- Detection skills help you anticipate incoming threats.
Ranged Support
- Consistent arrow fire that chips away at groups.
- Marking targets for you to finish off, sometimes granting benefits like cooldown reduction.
Utility & Mobility
- Skills that help maintain distance from enemies.
- Passives that support movement, vision, or safe repositioning.
Subo’s skill tree branches between heavier scouting utility or more direct ranged pressure depending on how you prefer to shape him. Detailed skills are listed below.
