Season 11

Diablo 4 Season 11 - Season of Divine Intervention - 11 December 2025.

In Season 11, the Lesser Evils (Andariel, Azmodan, Duriel, and Belial) have entered Sanctuary and you are tasked to take vanquish them by the angel Hadriel who first appeared in Diablo 2 Act 4.

The Paladin

The big surprise for Season 11 is the addition of the Paladin class which was revealed at the Game Awards 2025. The class is available now with pre-orders of the Lord of Hatred expansion.

How to get Corrupted Essences

In Season 11, the Lesser Evils have invaded Sanctuary.

Killing a Lesser Evil for the first time will reward you with their Corrupted Essence which should be returned to Hadriel which will unlock the Divine Gifts for each Lesser Evil.

Each Lesser evil has been placed in the following locations and they drop corrupted essences.

• Andariel (Corrupted Claw of Andariel) - Kurast Undercity - New Undercity Tributes boosting rewards. Watch out for Shades of Andariel that will reduce your time.
• Azmodan (Corrupted Tongue of Axmodan) - World Boss - Summonable and players can choose which other Lesser Evil powers influence the battle).
• Duriel (Corrupted Horn of Duriel) - Helltides - Replaces the Blood Maiden
• Belial (Corrupted Eye of Belial) - The Pit - Destroy the green eyes of Belial as you make your way through the level and then take him down.

All these challenges will need to be undertaken to gain Divine Gifts.

Divine Gifts

Divine Gifts and Essence Slots

Acquired from taking down the Lesser Evils, Divine Gifts work as follows:

• Divine Gifts can be slotted in the interior to activate the Purified Gift, or the exterior to activate the Corrupted Gift inside the Season panel in your inventory.
• Slot the Devine gifts to activate their bonuses. Each Lesser Evil has their own section within the panel.
• Corrupted gifts make each related activity harder but come with bonus rewards. You do not need to activate these if you don't want to.
• Purified Gifts add a positive effect, and double the Reward gained.
• Corrupted Gift slots will unlock automatically. Progress through the Seasonal Reputation board unlock the Purified Gift slots found for the Divine Gifts.

Divine Gifts can be levelled by killing the Lesser Evil and its minions.

When are Purified Gifts Unlocked?

This is determined by the Divine Favor Ranks and unlock as follows:

• Rank II: Duriel
• Rank IV: Andariel
• Rank VI: Azmodan
• Rank VIII: Belial

Essences

The collection of Divine Gifts comprise of Essence which are slotted into each circle in the UI. The Inner slots are the Purified Gifts and the Outer the Corrupted Gifts.

Each Lesser Evil has their own Corrupted and Purified Gifts (Essences) which are as follows:

Essence of Lies - Belial

• Rewards: Chance for an extra upgrade in the Pit, doubled while Purified.
  • Rank Upgrades: Extra upgrade chance increases.
• Purified Gift: Fortify for 1% of your Maximum Life a second.
• Corrupted Gift: Belial's Eyes are filled with malice and will focus you with beams that deal 10% of your Maximum Life a second.

Essence of Shadows - Belial

• Rewards: Vanquish the Pit to earn immense amounts of Gold, doubled while Purified.
  • Rank Upgrades: Gold amount increases.
• Purified Gift: Briefly become Unstoppable when Crowd Controlled every 12 seconds.
• Corrupted Gift: Belial's Apparitions are empowered and their attacks can Daze you for 3 seconds or Knock you Back.

Essence of Sin - Azmodan

• Rewards: Survive World Boss encounters to earn Activity Keys, doubled while Purified.
  • Rank Upgrades: Higher quality Dungeon Keys drop.
  • Rank 2: The Weekly cache awards a huge amount of Activity Keys.
  • Rank 5: More Compasses and Tributes drop across Sanctuary.
• Purified Gift: Gain 20% increased Armor.
• Corrupted Gift: You are Vulnerable while fighting World Bosses.

Essence of Hellfire - Azmodan

• Rewards: Survive World Boss encounters to earn Lair Boss Keys, doubled while Purified.
  • Rank Upgrades: Higher quality Lair Boss Keys drop.
  • Rank 2: The Weekly cache awards a huge amount of Lair Boss Keys.
  • Rank 5: More Lair Boss Keys drop across Sanctuary.
• Purified Gift: Your direct damage has a 10% chance to Stun enemies for 1 second.
• Corrupted Gift: Meteors rain down upon you while fighting World Bosses.

Essence of Anguish - Andariel

• Rewards: Vanquish the Undercity to earn Obols, doubled while Purified.
  • Rank Upgrades: Obols amount increases.
• Purified Gift: Gain 30% Movement Speed.
• Corrupted Gift: Manifestations of Anguish lurk throughout the Undercity and attach lightning siphons to you that Slow you by 70% while you are close to them.

Essence of Screams - Andariel

• Rewards: Vanish the Undercity to earn Salvage Materials, doubled while Purified.
  • Rank Upgrades: Higher quality Salvage Materials drop.
• Purified Gift: Gain 20% increased Resistance.
• Corrupted Gift: Agonized Souls are enraged and will now form explosions that pull you inwards and generate electrified ground that deals 12% Maximum Life a second.

Secret Boss Level - How to activate it

Blizzard has hidden a secret boss encounter in Season 11 where players can take on all four bosses to reap some great rewards. Details on how to activate this secret can be read here.

Sanctification

Santification is a new end-game crafting system for Season 11. Read more about that on the Sanctification page.

Season Ranks

Season Ranks now replace the Season Journey. Players undertake speicific challenges in each rank and complete the Capstone Dungeons in order to move to the next rank and set of challenges to gain more rewards.

Season Ranks in Brief

• Season Journey removed for the Season Ranks system.
• Each Rank advances by completing its Capstone Dungeon.
• Dungeons are fully themed & scaling milestones (ML about  30 +).
• Can enter Capstone Dungeons at any level, even Level 1 if you really wanted a challenge.
• Bonus objectives add “micro-rewards” throughout the journey.
• Renown merged into Season Ranks (for seasonal realm only):
  • No starting with Skill/Paragon points.
  • Must re-earn those points via objectives (e.g., kill World Boss, reach reputation tier).
  • Eternal Realm keeps old Renown system.

The Tower

Following the demise of The Gauntlet. the community has been waiting a long time for some kind of ladder to appear in Diablo 4 and The Tower is the answer. It's currently being beta tested in Season 11.

To partake in The Tower, head to Cerrigar and activate the same obelisk used to activate The Pit. Once inside, players have maximum of 10 minutes to complete the run.

What to do in the Tower

Start your run and as you mash your way through the monsters to increase your score and collect the Orbs.

Look for the towers and once destroyed use the Pylons that appear to buff you for a short time. You can use these strategically against the monsters.

Should you make it through, a Tower Boss will spawn and it needs to be taken down before the timer runs out. This concludes the run and enters you onto the Leaderboard.

This could be a considered a slightly different version of The Pit with a ladder attached to it. It's still early days for The Tower but it does need some work as a concept because it feels too similar to The Pit
