Raids will be a new type of large-scale Co-op PvE dungeon that will launch with Vessel of Hatred which is due to be released on 6 October 2024.
Lurking within the shadows lies your next great challenge, filled with powerful tribulations and promising rewards. First of its kind to Diablo, this dungeon will require eager warriors to team up and take down various perils together. More details on this game mode will be revealed soon. [1]
Raids often require planning, strategy, and teamwork to complete due to the higher difficulty level and more complex scenario. They are part of the endgame content so only for the very highest level characters.
Dark Citadel
The Dark Citadel is the first PvE co-op Raid experience coming to the game. This will take multiple hours to complete.
Raid Currency
In Spiritborn gameplay videos, there have been fleeting glimpses of two new currencies both dropped whilst in the Dark Citadel.
- Khazra Horn - Used to transmute high-level Boss materials. The Alchemist currently offers a transmute service so it may be them who you take the Khazra Horn to craft into another item.
- Citadel Coin - A currency needed to shop at the Citadel Vendor, a new merchant.
With the addition of raid-like gameplay, Blizzard will also need to add a proper group-finding system which is not currently in the game but is likely to launch in the Vessel of Hatred.
