Thorns

Thorns had always prioved popular in the Diablo franchise. It is a passive offensive damage effect on enemies.

When hit by direct attacks, a certain percentage of damage is reflected back at the enemy. The exception is Damage over Time (DoT) attacks from an enemy.

Classes

Thorns can be a useful effect for classes such as the Barbarian and the Necromancer. The Necromancer's minions will inherit any Thorn effects which means you can dish out a lot of damage.

Example Items

Thorns damage can be found on certain items, the Razorplate is one that stands out as it's focused purely on Thorns damage.

Razorplate Crafted by the cannibal Armoda, each piece of this interlocking armor has been sharpened into a knife's edge. Even a century after death, the plate remained on her corpse, unable to be removed safely. Type: Unique Chest Armor Class: All Classes Description: Thorns has a 10% chance to deal [100 - 200]%[x] increased damage.
