Kurast Undercity is a new dungeon added in the Vessel of Hatred expansion. The dungeon was revealed during Gamescon 2024.
Unlike other dungeons, Kurast Undercity is a timed dungeon that unlocks at levels 15-20. Defeating Elite enemies will extend the clock timer during the dungeon run.
The difficulty of the Undercity will always be in line with the difficulty you are playing on, i.e Hard, Penitent or Torment 4 so it will be as appropriate during leveling up as it will be at endgame.
Accessing the Undercity
On completion of the Vessel of Hatred campaign, Ormus will ask you to undertake a few small quests which introduce players to endgame content, including the Undercity.
To full open the Undercity, players are tasked with defeating a boss called Aria. Once this boss is defeated, the Undercity is available to run at any point you choose.
Tributes
Tributes will allow you to scale the difficulty and rewards of the Undercity and target farm specific items with specific affixes. These Tributes drop in the Undercity as well as throughout Sanctuary.
