Who is Malphas?

Malphas was a new boss added in Diablo 4 Season 3: Season of the Construct.

Malphas is a servant of Diablo, he's shapeless, manipulates others, and takes on the form of others. In the Season of Constrcut, Malphas has taken the form of one of Zoltun Kulle's prize Constructs, The Guardian.

After ruling over the Vaults for many years, Malphas has now decided to expand his reach over the rest of Sanctuary. It's only now the people of Sanctuary have been alerted to his presence with the appearance of Arcane Tremors in the overworld.

As players traverse the Vaults, players are going through his literal body.

Fighting Malphas

Malphas is the first stationary boss in Diablo 4. He stays rooted to the center of the boss arena and utlises projectiles and traps to attack the player. You need to constantly be on the move and make sure you look for the telegraphs on upcoming floor traps and then get in behind him to make the hit.

This fight is a little trickier with a melee character.

There is also an Uber version of Malphas and players will have to traverse a very hard Vault to defeat Uber Malphas in in World Tier 4.

The Echo of Malphas fight is a lot harder with him now firing everything almost at once. Make sure you kill the obelisks that appear to stop him using elemental attacks and keep moving.

Malphas Drops

Malphas will not drop any unique items but will drop unique Tuning Stones when defeated in World Tier 4.
