What are Vaults?
Vaults were a new type of Dungeon added in Diablo 4 Season 3: Season of the Construct and can be found in different zones of Sanctuary.
Vaults were origianlly created to keep out the forces of evil but have now been corrupted by Malphas, the Season 3 antagonist. These Vaults house elemental Hazards devised by Zoltun Kulle and Ayuzhan. They also contain the new monster type Constructs which have several elemental variants.
Players will fight the new Constructs and have to avoid many different types of traps.
How do you access Vaults?
Vailts can be accessed with the Vault Sigils which drop alongside typical dungeon sigils. They can also be crafted at the Occultist and require Pearls of Warding to create.
How do you Get Pearls of Warding?
Pearls of Warding are acquired by defeating Elite Constructs in the Arcane Tremors event which has been added in Season 3.
What is Zoltun's Warding in Vaults?
Upon entering a Vault, players are blessed by Zoltun’s Warding by interacting with the statue of Zoltun Kulle. Zoltun’s Warding is a layered blessing which grants access to riches within the Vaults. Zoltun’s Warding diminishes stack by stack if you manage to fall prey to the various Hazards scattered throughout the Vaults. Be warned, one hit by a trap will mean you lose 1 Zoltun’s Warding blessing.
Pearls of Warding can be exchanged on entering a Vault for extra stacks of Zoltun's Warding.
How do I get the rewards in a Vault?
Once players surive all the all enemy waves in a Vault, the final treasure is revealed.
What is a Wardwoven Chest?
If the Zoltun’s Warding is intact after defeating the Vault boss, players will unlock a Wardwoven Chest which have Legendary rewards.
The Vault Boss
The Vault bosses are stationary bosses in the centre of the arena. Although the boss is stationary, the Boss will activate traps in the arena which players need to avoid.
