2020 Spring RFL Sign Up and Running Thread: Round 2 (Travincal)

10h into my first set. Pretty happy so far. Since my Cow running went horribly bad, I can say that it feels good to have a decent runner. I'm stabilizing at ~45s per run. Often sporting long streches at 40s, even slightly lower, but Conviction packs often kill the merc, so the average goes up. Ans also Teleport misclicks do happens. :rolleyes: Twice slower than the average Blizz sorc, but Find Item must even things somewhat. Already have a full set of qualifiers, even though I had a horrible 7h30 drought into my fist half. At least, my honor is safe ! :p

Plenty of goodies dropped during that time. Lately, the game is telling me to build a Fire sorc. A perfect Fireball Ormus dropped a few days ago, then this :

3h in and I reshuffled the inventory completely. Switched out my 10fcr/30fres/28lres ring for 10fcr/23fres/24lres/15energy/7mf to help with the mana issues. Switched the 3BO CtA for 5BO to help with life lost from removed charms and mana. If I had a couple of nice 11lres/16+life SC's I could replace the Um'd Shako for PRuby one. All in all ~100life lost, 5-6@res lost for 5x4 clear inventory space. I can potentially even remove the Gheeds for 6x4 free space but I really want to get some Facets and Unique/Rare jewelry so I'm keeping it on for now. We'll see how that goes :P

Mord (WW Barb) has passed 500 runs, first milestone I guess, and he's pushing level 91. I'm pleased with him and if this continues he will get a nice chocolate milk to enjoy in front of the fire with Tyrael when all is done. 😇

The next one you will drop will be big points ;)

One in about 280 runs so far here, but kinda useful stuff delivered regularly, so I am fine with it (Homunculus and Arm of King Leoric lately, Thundergod belt and a low Titan's - already got a better one, an Occy, the cold facet, and in the middle of that even a Wisp projector with 11lbsorb and 19 mf...it starts to feel good anyway even if I am not efficient runewise).

Still hoping for one big boy at some point, even if at my pace I will complete the 20 hours in about 900 runs!
 
@Luhkoh , you must have sent your luck my way...I am at 4 qualifiers in 350 runs :)

Of course, now that I've said that I will probably hit a 10 hour dry spell...

And a 5/3 fire facet though I didn't check if die or level

First block is going pretty well....thinking of running the last 10 hours with my nova sorc to try for some skillers and facets there, though I expect the run efficiency will drop.
 
Runs 101-200. Greater Talons rack has been a big let down so far. For some reason blues almost never have automods. Pretty disappointed with the charms as well!!

Item level works differently in 1.07 or there's some gambling in the middle? Also I guess Council lvl is not 85 in this version? Just to learn a bit more on 1.07 :)
 
LK is alvl 88 in 1.07 and racks drop items with ilvl=alvl-1, that explains the 87. Council members are level 90 in the .txts and since D2DC posted lvl 90 stuff that's probably from a minion. No idea whether the bosses are lvl 93 then (why would the bosses get +3 but the minions don't, though?)

Up to this point I thought 1.07 council was lvl 93 and you could farm ilvl 91+ GCs off them :rolleyes:
 
2 hours done. I don't count runs done, but I do pay attention to experience gain (must do 20365 runs more to gain level). According to experience it is exactly 455 full runs done (I do skip cold immune boss and likely have some leftovers here and there). It would translate to ~15.82 s fullclear runs. Can't say what real average is, probably 15.5-15.6 area. Could be below 15.5 since I can't know how often do I have leftover, I don't closely check through fire and blizzard. Doesn't matter though. I also don't pick stuff except small charms (those I see), rare jewels and useful uniques. Just turbo style playing not caring much what drops. Chances to find some charm I will actually use is something like 1 in 800 area, so I'm not really inspired to pick them with focus.

Half way into the set with my untwinked 99er Barb. Set has been worth it:

:) The improved his times a bit, and allowed some muling off of the Mara's and nice 2 skill/7 FCR/ML/MF caster amulet (which will make it's way my Pitzerker). He's also picked up not one, but two Reaper's, with only one representing an upgrade of sorts (228/11, for +10% damage but minus 3ll). Neither was eth, so I think we're now on #73 overall without :mad: So he will hold out for socket quest and hope for RNG to balance out. He also got the Suicide Branch (his first), which paired with Wizzy for the extra +skill. He actually got a second, but the mana issues were too significant, so we muled that one off.

The Highlord's completes his gear, with the exception of a base needed for Treachery. There were some nice Sharp LCs, which I realized often beat out Sharp GC and Fine GC combo, unless high rolls or really nice secondary mods. He also got 4 Lems over this stretch, with a Pul and Lem stashed as a result.

Biggest issue was the merc, with barely 75 FR, he was squishy. We went back and forth between ebugged Fortitude and Duriel's, with Fortitude helping survivability (sort of) with leech but shattering more corpses. We eventually settled on Duriel's. Guardian Angel dropped fairly early, which went into the stash and prompted Fortitude into extended stash. But not high resist helm dropped until an eth Crown of Thieves just past 9 hours. It makes a big difference, with less babysitting needed, and he averaged under 40s per run over 10 minute sample I took just before 10 hours mark.

Stats: only five qualifiers, which I'm pretty sure is below expectations with 54% hork. But it's all good, set has been solid with the non-qualifiers. :cool:
 
Hitting lvl 89 seemed to help to run faster, I will have to check but I have runs around 1'12/1'13 regularly. Also changed amulet for the 34MF one, and I get much more S/U.

Dropped the second qualifier right before the 7hours mark, a necro summoning skiller, and a +5/-4 light facet, amongst other goodies, like the Dangoon's...and a failed Spiderweb sash. This last point is crossed on my list :p
 
Sample of running. 31 runs in 8:06 aka 15.68 s average with gear showdown. I'm not sure can it get faster than this, only with instant saving. I'm doing this because Travincal is very boring, now at least I feel it is action packed. Otherwise I would just use 3 piece Tal set, massive MF and do 18s running on autopilot.

 
@Gripphon Since MF doesn't seem to bother you, why not replace Ormus/Hellmouth with 1.07 Ark 'Facet'/TO's Gloves (or mages?) and skip BO? Seems like the only place you could still gain time without losing too much safety needed for that level up. The only dealbreaker here is the 400 mana loss and I guess to a lesser extent the 15% CSD / +1 Blizz you lose. But hey, something to theorycraft for you :p
