Managed to net an Ist from my hell hellforge and an Um while running Hell Shenk and Eldritch trying to level up my hammerdin.

Just started playing again yesterday and haven’t been here for over a month so I’ve got some posts to sit down and read tomorrow
 
first time MFing in ages; did 95-96 in the pit
would have been quite a bad batch without the two gargoyle's bites showing up within 20 minutes of each other during the last 5%

For sure barb and necro are no comparison. My little exp sheet estimates right at 700 runs for p7 necro for 95-96, and for p1 pitbarb, I estimate around 9000 :oops:. If you played barb on p8 (I don't recommend this :p), I'm getting something like 2200.

@necrolemming congrats! Not too bad a haul. I should play my pitnecro some more soon :)
 
@DiabloTwoinDC I have to ask.. why? Lol not to be annoying about it or anything, but I find it so much easier to level at baal (or perhaps even pits) as whirlwind till you get to your desired level, and then hit pits hard on p1 as zerker for dat mf. Berserker is just so poor at leveling (no minions) and so good at mf on p1, that it seems to me he's not doing anything he's good at with p8 pits. Of course do what is fun for you, but I was definitely interested.

I don't think we can make that call. I just looked it up and at least in Acts 1 to 4 the vendor price discount from Quests does not apply to items sold to vendors, so the only thing that could influence the number up there would be Gheeds or Edge. I don't see an Edge and assuming a perfect Gheed's in his inventory an Edge would bring the price down to about 3,26 million. That would still be purchasable.

Assuming the game rounds down prices the highest vendor price of a sold item that could be bought back should be 4,985,715 gold without Gheed and Edge. So if you see an item that goes for 5 million you're screwed for good :D

(All of this assumes that the fact that items are 80% more expensive in act 5 also does not apply to sold items, can't find any info on that on the AB wiki)
