So, I couldnt wait any longer and converted my barb Anger to the new version of diablo 2.
I quickly muled over one of my sojs and beat dclone. It was super easy and rewarded me with this:
+9% Exp, pretty awesome.
Now the bad part.
I did some nihla runs and oh boy its not good. The runs are much harder imo. Nihla is harder to see and hit. He is so small and also greyish like the mobs around him. I also feel like name locking is not working properly. If I click on him and start hitting him, I cant move my mouse cursor away or else I will start hitting other mobs around him. This was never a problem in the old version. But when he teleports away and i switch to teleport I port onto him. Super weird.
Another bad change are those vipers. First off all the poison cloud bug did not get fixed. Even worse is, that those vipers are way harder to spot than before. They also have this greyish colour that blends in really well with the background and the other minions...That makes the runs alot more dangerous.
But now for the worst part: the loading times are horrific... I takes me 10 seconds to start a new game. And the S/E lagg is still there. So each run takes me around 10 secs longer than before. If you calculate this for about 13k nihla runs thats a whooping 36 hours
Thats not acceptable. Its also not fun to wait for this long every 20 seconds and then I have to copy paste /players8 in the chat everyone aswell..... That makes abandoning runs feel even worse.
Finishing the last 55% or so will be tough... And the 9% from anni dont make up for this.
Sadly there is no run counter and Iam too lazy to count the exp by myself but the exp per hour takes a big hit Iam sure.
So honestly Iam not sure what Iam going to do now. There is no turning back which is fine since I cant stand how the old game looks now. But farming for 70 more hours like this is not fun. And it wont be on any character that has to do fast single target runs like nihla, pindle, etc..
