For legacy IMO the best tool for tracking numerous stats (including XP gain) is this run counter.

Keep us posted about your CS numbers! Still wondering how Sorc compares to Paladin in CS when playing untwinked.

@ffs i had posted all the numbers I was hitting for the last UT 99er I did which might be a little better comparison as I’m still using 2x Spirit and a Stealth on this one lmfao. I honestly haven’t kept track of anything besides played time for this so far but obviously we can deduct exp per hour from that.

Yeah right the default setting somehow excludes menu time, change it like this: Make sure you run as administrator (and from a location that's not restricted with access rights), then enable advanced automode (options -> automode -> advanced) and set "end run in menu" to "off".

Nothing much to say, just another day in the office. Changed some things around with binds and belt slots to gain a few charm spots (seems picking things up is the most risky part of these runs so I've opted to not use cube in inventory and really only picking up charms, rare amulets/rings, and uniques that can actually be used. I'll grab an armor or pelt/wand etc for gold if I see something conveniently at the end of a run as the merc still dies enough to warrant managing gold. I'll TK pots etc during Blizzard CD just to save a little time. For drops I had a pair of Highlords (1, 2), a random Gargoyle's Bite, and a new CS rune high in Gul. This puts me one Um, Mal, Ist or Gul away from HotO. Total time at 40h 14m 35s.

This has been quite refreshing so far, I’m already looking forward to the write up and talking about how powerful Sorceress is for this type of project. Building a character up with the drawn out targeted runs for those very special runewords and uniques is great, of course, but there’s really so much you can do with so little.

Fiona is closing in on 2000 Pindle runs and just reached level 90.

Time to add her to the list!

Other than finding a Shako the last stretch has been quite uneventful as expected at Pindle.

I am going on a vacation for one week and afterwards the plan is either to continue running Pindle or doing some players 8 NM Andariels to find a SoJ. LK running will be started at level 93.

I still have not used my second socket quest, so any feedback on my previous post is still very much appreciated.

Don't recall seeing a pack here before lmao. Too slow to react in the morning, -1h 10m 03s and motivation for today sucked dry.

E: Prompted me to make this. Was hesitant as I was worried about merc survivability without leech and the impact on run speed with not being able to reposition mobs with teleport but I forgot just how fucking good it is and its actually nice to keep the finger mages from running into bad spots etc.

Septimus has continued his progress, up to 97.75 at Nihl. A few Baal runs were mixed in when we had 3 or more bails in a row due to vipers. It doesn't happen often, but it's the approach I've taken to give myself a reset and ensure frustration with S&Es doesn't get the better of judgment and lead to a death. A few close calls occurred, nonetheless, but he's scraped by so far. In just 97.4-97.75, he's already surpassed rune haul for Death, with a Vex, Gul, Mal and Um, surpassing only 5 Pul+ found and none higher than Mal for Death's whole journey from 98-99. He also picked up a Steel Pillar.

I may sidetrack a bit to the Pit with MF gear back on up to 97.8 (or another .05 bit), as I'm thinking that doing this whole stretch from 97.4 to 99 at Nihl may be a bit much, even with the few Baal breaks. I'm not tracking XP/hr too closely, but he's gotten 1.9M during 30-minute stretch where I didn't take any breaks (but also above-average XP shrines and fewer S&Es). An hour of playing, with two short breaks, netted just under 3.5M, so I think that's a good proxy for where he's at. With the Thanksgiving holiday, I'm thinking he'll hit 98 before December, maybe a little sooner because my wife's out of town for a weekend. So I'm aiming for at least 98.25 before New Year's. We'll see!

It's nice to see all the new entries, and I've done some tidying on the table for those who haven't updated this year to resting heroes.

Also, I think this is the first time the amount of questing heroes shown is less than the amount of heroes in the Hall of Fame!

Hello everybody.

It feels wierd to say this, but this is probably my 2nd last update for my barbarian here.

Only 20% left before he can finally retire xD

Mabey I will post another update at the 90% mark but its more likely i grind out the last 20% and then post the final update.

The past runs where pretty enjoyable. Saving the playersetting and not having to paste it into the chat every run sure makes the runs much more enjoyable. There were quite a view close calls but no deaths which makes me very happy. Just hitting the ESC button as fast as possible whenever i drop to less than 50% and vipers are around.

you can add -playersx to the command line of the d2r.exe shortcut

Hmm, just tried testing this switching between -players3 and -players8 on mephisto and noticed no difference in killing speed. This is my exact Target:

"E:\Other games\Blizzard\Diablo II Resurrected\D2R.exe" -players8

Have I got that right?

EDIT: Just googled it and it requires a space between the arguments, so should be -players 8 for anyone coming after.

Sweet! Now I could do with a command line argument to switch straight to single player on startup!
