@ioupainmax Cool, I like the tables as they are but getting rid of the horizontal scrolling and your overall clean up is not a bad idea. I don't think the XP and Status columns are necessary though.. not sure about date either tbh. Like @PhineasB though I wouldn't mind either way, it's just a table after all. Overall I think 3 tables look better, and as for headings I'm more straight forward (I'm running, not questing ) hence my heading suggestions. But don't care too much either so whatever others say!
@Smittyphi you can bookmark the direct link to the post number (next to the "Like" button).
I think that I will collate various threads/posts and link to them on the front page, so if you want something added then message me and title it 'Untwinked 99er Links' or something, and I will include it.
Exp/XP was included at Yng's request earlier in the thread, yet to be agreed upon by the active runners, just testing to see what looks/works best.
@PhineasB I think you're missing the point of the 'Status' column in the context of that table format - yes it's redundant for actual 99ers - but it made sense when all 3 tables were consolidated as it showed 'D = Dead' for the fallen and had the optional extra of 'I = Inactive'. In any case, if we go to the 3 table format, which I happen to prefer, that column is then pointless.
Since everyone is pretty much in agreement about the 3 tables being better, the 'Status' column is no longer required*. Exp/XP still needs consensus.
*I would argue that the 'Date' column actually provides more useful information than Status anyway. I'm going to strongly advocate for the 'Date' column for the following reasons:
Enables us to review when the table was last updated for all characters/forumites.
Track when achievements were made.
My plan was to review the thread for each update and also cross reference the last login from that forumite (big task - could take some time if I can be bothered).
Using the above information, we could then decide what to do:
Last update > 1 year & Last Login > 6 months = Probably inactive
Maybe park the inactive stuff in a 4th table. That way, you have a cleaner, smaller active table to update and maintain.
Or leave everything in (because people do return), but at least know what's what!
+1 for getting rid of horizontal scrolling
Forum name, Char name, lvl (in decimals), HC/SC is all i really need to know.
+1 for Date and removing inactive entries. Just last update should be fine without the last login.
+1 for 3 tables. Hall of Fame?(Victors?), Runners, and Deeds.
I'm okay with completely removing inactive members - if no update for like a full year. It's not too hard to add yourself back in anyways. Perhaps for the sake of record keeping, a 4th table is better for inactive entries. hm...
Seems all good. Maybe put inactive members in a spoiler? Whatever I don't mind, I'll just use whatever the next person's update is using. Unless that's me.
Some good ideas here. Nothing wrong with a little change but I’m fine with whatever. Honestly, just listing your XP seems a lot more straightforward than referencing the table to see if you reached a decimal point.
My HC untwinked Barb is 59 and approaching NM Mephisto but I rarely play it over Sophie and the Barb follows the same P8 only ruleset my Druid did.
@ioupainmax - You're right, I did miss the point! I hadn't connected the dots about the Fallen being consolidated when looking it at this am.
I also think it would be cool to pull key links into the opening post as @Kitteh suggests. It would be a handy starting point for new entries and people running alike.
And once I get my act together and finish the compendium, that will also hopefully be a good resource. I intend to link the 91-99 spreadsheet in the final section and other sections already posted in the draft thread have other XP tables (including Nano's excellent one) and Gripphon's testing for leveling.
So @Smittyphi , please take a look there. It would be great to get your feedback because newer entries in untwinked 99er challenge are a prime intended audience.
Better get Salome out of the garage for another run before she gets deleted off the tables
I seem to remember that she only needed a few hundred runs to reach 96.
But seriously, great ideas for tidying the tables up, they were getting a bit unwieldy.

Now I'll go and update the dates.
EDIT 1: For now, I've left in the Exp column until we have a decision either way. Easier to remove than it is to put back. I still need to populate the 'Resting Heroes' but that will take time.
EDIT 2: Dates for Hall of Fame done (please check since the post date may not match the completion date so I just assumed thread/post date = completion date unless it was otherwise stated)
EDIT 3: Even though Exp is redundant in the Hall of Fame table, I've left it in for consistency across all tables so that when you move from one table to another, the columns all line up! (When I say 'move' in this context, I refer to both eye tracking and also when you move your row of data to either Hall of Fame or sadly to The Fallen)
I'm actually working on updating the table, so on this occasion, if you write down the relevant info, I'll add it to the main table. Then once I'm finished with all the updates, everyone can begin using the new tables using the method in my link.
Guys, please be careful when updating the table. I've been reviewing things and certain updates 'disappeared' because somewhere along the way, someone used an older post to quote from and omitted interim updates. Then these omissions have propagated to all subsequent posts.
I've gone back a few pages to fix the more recent cases of this happening and I'll fix anything I find as I go. Luckily I have some helpful software that compares 2 documents, so it wasn't as painful as it could have been.
@ioupainmax Looks very nice, thanks! Two suggestions: (1) Not wanting to take anything away from deeded HC runners but maybe also a spoiler for the fallen to make it a bit shorter (as these are also "inactive" in a way)? And (2) in my case at least there is quite some room to the right of the table still, so maybe a little bit of additional spacing between columns is possible so it is less squeezed together? Don't know if that would cause the horizontal scrolling on others' displays though. Again though, happy with it as it is.

@PhineasB what feedback are you looking for? General? Or specific to that thread and the conclusions that have been seen posted there? I've been playing this game a while now. I've taken a break for a couple of years but I haven't forgotten that much.

Are you in my brain lol? All good suggestions that was I was thinking about, I'm just updating dates right now, but I agree with all those so I will implement them too.
The only downside is: in the edit window, rows get split over 2 even if they are a single row in the final post. It almost certainly necessitates copying to Notepad for any significant edit.
Going to take a break from adding dates to these tables. Feel free to resume use of them and update etc. Perhaps if I leave them as is, over time, people will update stuff and the other stuff will age out and we can move stuff to the 'Resting Heroes' table bit by bit. It's pretty daunting doing it all by myself.
