I sincerely hope it's the latter! :)

I had been revisiting the HoR thread a bit over the last few days, and thinking of an acceptable way to make use of Oskros' run counter, because it makes it sooo much easier to track runs (including MF efficiency) with basically no effort whatsoever.

This is the result and I hope many runners here are going for some entries!

Ooooh. I think I have silospen's run counter saved somewhere and wanted to dig it up before the MFO started. Didn't know a new contender was in the mix!

Haven't been able to get it to run perfectly (won't describe the issue; don't want this to turn into a troubleshooting thread), but it's pretty slick. Nice call out.
 
Hi All! I feel a bit like an absent landlord, but I'm back after 10 glorious days of no cell phone or wifi reception and an otherwise spectacular vacation. It's looking like three teams may be in order, so I will draft the other Baal and Pindle participants and assign teams unless we get some team-making initiated!

HYPE, only 30 hours or so til go time here in the US West Coast!

Seeing how there are 4 signed up for teams in the lvl 85 areas and someone would get left out (unless others sign up), Trim and John Remedy could use the average of their two scores towards their team’s point total. I think it’s fitting since they often MP together. What do you all think?

Oh nice name...

Well situation is complicated as @PhineasB is the only one left in Baal category. So...maybe I'll be out of team this time, but anyway I'll enter the name battle!

My (self)team will be named W.O.L.F. (Whining Obvious Loser Forever) - running as a lone wolf lost in the Pits.

Or if I get into a team we will see altogether - we can also just put loser to plural ;-) But as stated by @Vildecor, we have MP players, and I like the idea of score averaging between them!

Gonna go ahead and withdraw myself. Time is short with a new baby and wife back to work. Been getting some projects done around the house lately too, so I'll just keep that rolling. Everyone have fun and I'll look forward to seeing the results!

Haaaa! Interesting idea. I won't run the math [because I'm working atm... and lazy] to see if the top end Baal scores get cancelled out appropriately by Pindle's top end, but it could work if only to implement another weird side bet for bragging rights.

I'd support it if approved, and something tells me Remedy won't mind. We'd be in a funny predicament, though -- we're a team, but because we're running the same category we can't communicate with each other how well we're doing individually. We'll be totally in the dark until the tourney comes to an end. For whatever reason, that makes me like it even more. :D

But I'm also not dead set in being included for a team. If PhineasB doesn't want to roll with something wacky, I will in no way be upset with the final decision or getting teamed up with a draftee.

Ooh, and I think I understand better now myself. Both Remedy and I combined into Trimedy and considered one member, and runners from other categories make up the other teammates. That's much more logical. Feel free to ignore my nonsense above. :LOL:
 
It is going to be some weird competition - I like it!

I took the initiative to create the line for the last team. Now a name has to be found for last team and it is all set!

Well, I've started, I've done 1 run.

I was quite shocked when a qualifier dropped on that run. At this point, empirical evidence suggests I'm going to get a qualifier every run. Fear me.

I'm going for a second qualifier and then off to bed.
