Pretty much my first time playing a Pit Necro or any Poison Necro for that matter and it's been a blast (literally :p). The only noticeable drop before the Griffon's was a Mal and of course the Astreon's I found earlier that day.

I was super relieved when I picked up the Diadem and it wasn't see-through. Glancing at it in GoMule I had to do a double take:

This is now by far the most valuable item I own. I immediately dusted off the Java and started doing AS runs with 99fcr and got the Cham not too long after (about 1 hour and 10 minutes between the screenshots...). The next Cham came this morning... This means I found Astreons, perfect Griffon's and two times Cham in about a 24 hour period. :D

I did some calculations on rune chances in the AS after finding the first Cham because I was curious...
The numbers under the forum user's names are ghosts/min numbers they posted (where I converted non-ghost monsters to ghosts by dividing their number by 3,59) with the build used under it. The number after their names is the year of the RFL thread they posted those numbers in and what you can't see (the red arrow) is the post number within the thread, sorry :p

The numbers in the 'hours' column give the amount of hours you need to run at the respective ghosts/min averages to get a 95% confidence at one of these runes/runeranges. Suffice to say that double Cham was a little bit out of the norm :)
 
@Albatross Remind me of the stats on your Tyrael's, they're perfect, right? :p

@Babyhell Sadly I still miss about 5 Chams to match my Shakos. (and how do you match an eth Shako?) I'll gladly take the lead though.


Anyway I'm now playing some fresh characters through normal and NM before I find even more outrageous stuff (found an Ohm doing a few cow runs today... it has to stop :confused:)

That equip makes for about 700MF on me and 850MF if the merc makes the kill which is exactly what I let happen. I realize that if I had Isted his equip and used War Travelers and three part Tal's I could have 50+70+50=170MF more for a total of 1020MF when he hits. I didn't bother :D

I picked up every TC3 Set and Unique I got from her as well as rare Wands and Orbs and all jewels that dropped in the caves. On the jewel front I got one jewel of envy and one cinnabar jewel of envy with 7% ED, nice I guess :) The only oustanding rare was this:

Ok thought I'd post some here before starting mini RFL this afternoon.

First off I geared up my hammerdin for the first time to try out some runs and here's his shield.

Thought that was a pretty nice one. He's already found me a pul and ist. I found this rare ring sitting in my stash and equipped it on him. This is pretty top tier isn't it?

Then since the merc was dying a lot, I stole a vex from my untwinked 99er sorc, and decided to finally make my first fort.

Also side note. I had been playing a d2 shortcut with no -direct -txt to help s/e or loading time or whatever, so no RWM. I knew there was a risk when I started playing on it, but I was like surely I'll remember to switch shortcuts before making an expensive runeword... nope. I blame @art_vandelay for my near heart attack when my fortitude didn't work. Fortunately, when you then boot up the regular shortcut, the failed runeword starts working :)

Unfortunately de seis's minions still whoop my hammerdins merc pretty good, but hes only lvl 87 so hopefully levels will help. Very pleased with that fort though! I would have like a higher def base for 3500+ def, but I was like I've been saving every 600+ defense eth armor that I've seen for 9 months now, it's time to just use the best one I've got. Nice low str req anyways for low level equipping.

Still leveling up my new perma-LK sorc at pindle. She's 87 now and has now had exactly 1 rare find with her ~630 mf setup... and it a duplicate of the rarest item I found in MFO that also happens to be totally useless.
