So, the +3 to ice blast would boost the ice blast of the Act 3 Merc eh? I would think one could make a beefy Act 3 Merc with enough bonus cold dmg and facets. Sounds like a cool idea to break away from the usual Act 2 Mercs.

The next bigger gambling batch is finally done. Around one billion (1.000.000.000) gold was farmed and gambled away. Part of it was done before RFL and bigger part has been done after it, so this was pretty much this spring's project.

I guess you got the picture, all in all there is rly much low to mid level stuff I thought might be useful. It was little hard to decide what to show here because I didn't remember what was about to come. Maybe I missed some good ones but whatever
Stash has ~1k items, including the usual bunch of uniques, plain skillers etc. My luck with runes was really poor. One Lo, one Vex, couple Ists and one Mal.
There is also many many Amulets/Circlets with different skill tabs and various suffixes. 90% of them won't see use, but just in case you know. And of course all the unique/set amulets and rings I gambled. I'm starting to have quite a collection of those with weird ilvls.

Stash has ~1k items, including the usual bunch of uniques, plain skillers etc. My luck with runes was really poor. One Lo, one Vex, couple Ists and one Mal.There is also many many Amulets/Circlets with different skill tabs and various suffixes. 90% of them won't see use, but just in case you know. And of course all the unique/set amulets and rings I gambled. I'm starting to have quite a collection of those with weird ilvls.

I did some searching, and it appears this was now my fourth bigger set that I've counted (I did some biggish gambling sprees before, few years back, but didn't count my coins back then...) For anyone interested (and for tracking purposes to myself), here are the three other ~1 billion set results:

@hackedagainanda Tbh I imagine you'd ask for a fortune that's probably not worth it to me -- since I agree it's not as OP or as much of an upgrade as many suggest. But it is better than the plain 4os one I'm currently running, plain and simple.
EDIT: Granted, the one I posted is also better than a plain 4os one!

Extremely geekish people might say that it would be statistically less probable to have four 5/5 lightning facets of different colors than two of four having the same color, so we could agree that it's a matter of taste.
Finally, one of the facets is of the "ctc when leveling up" kind, that's a flaw as well

@T72on1 My Dream BV has 5@ so consider yourself lucky. I got 18@ on shield though so that's fine. Still should roll another head piece Dream though, that roll is just a pain to see.
@zemaj I guess people would rather invest in dex than get 30 more str than for Monarch since dex is at least doing something for you in terms of AR i.e. leech (of course thinking mostly of Javazon here)... But yeah it's more the rarity than the utility of JMoD which makes people hunt it I guess. I for one couldn't care less about block with any (primarily) ranged character and agree it's not necessary at all.

??? Ward is medium weight. Monarch is light. Monarch has 52/47/42 blocking; ward is only 2% better. And high STR requirement. Only thing better is An Aegis (3%), which has huge STR requirement at 219 and so DEX saved is spent on STR. If you want a non-Pally shield with the capability of getting 4 sockets via a Jeweler's prefix, Monarch is it.
As for its utility, I defer to Frozz's clvl 99 Java that used it (in Aegis). It's the best shield in all liklihood for CS and Baal runs and PvM in general because of sheer damage + protection from physical damage in blocking. I wouldn't use one for Nihl b/c the % DR from Stormshield takes the cake, but if I was only running Baal or CS, I'd go with JMoD - assuming I could find one.
Would this be any good for a Paladin build? If it had 20% FCR it might be good for a Hammerdin maybe, but I am just not sure.

Maybe for an avenger. Notorious for their leeching shortfalls. That could give you a good start and mitigate the need for a crescent moon ammy, which some consider a 'must' for the build
The skills also help both vengeance and conviction, res is good, and MDR is always appreciated
Without fcr, it's less appealing for a hammerdin, but who actually wants to play one of those anyways
