They keep the 'out of bounds' stats... if you look at the patch notes for 1.08 (when most changes occurred), its littered with "(This will not affect existing items.)" after most changes. This includes both the good (most charm affixes) and the bad (jewel affixs, GF & MF on charms, defense on shields, durability on assassin claws & elite pally shields)

Nice! I always figured they *should* but I thought I recalled a lot of Uniques and Runewords would change over to modern iterations of the same item.

But should I want the extra point in it, then I will use a charge, and it will be lvl 4.

I really need to make a throw barb one of these days.
Interesting boots with eth style points.
If only I had an eth Reaper's Toll or 3os Tomb Reaver to put this in.

One for the eth grail, and great for many merc setups.
Not a very impressive 5nado, but it had almost perfect ED so I upped it. Massive defense!
