Yet another "legit" exploit discovered - cheesy gold earning

Is it possible to gamble a grandfather ? I have yet to see a colossus blade to be gambled in hell mode, because I have never seen one gambled by the NPCs.
Is there a minimum required level and a specific NPC to gamble a grandfather ?

For those people who keep bashing this gold 'earning' method, please try it first. There is no way a cow run or pit run or whatever run that can beat it in pure speed for gold earning.
Honestly, thats disgusting.... You should only bend the rules not break them

And yes, you can gamble anything since bnet encourages our lovely vegas casinos ^_^ (At least that is what i've heard/know of) (it takes a very high level character in order to do the gambling, look up the gambling statistics on arreat).

Breaking any rules or not iam one very happy camper. i just made a deal in the trade channels for my coronet i mentioned above for 3 sojs. :)

Of course this thing will affect trading. Since grinding and fools weapons are so easy obtainable every poor b.net soul will get a chance to get rich and make it to the "l33t crowd" if they set their minds to it. A poorman's tool to get rich. I see a big wave of complaints coming from the rich b.net traders coming.

At least in duels we will have a fresh supply of gold to see falling (marking the point of death); anyways im still agaisnt this stupid exploit...

Why are there always idiots who bring their gold into duels and cry when they lose it? You'd think after 4 years they would learn.

I really don't want to believe that my beloved human race can produce such poor specimens.

If you call 10 minutes, "all night long", you must live a very fast life.
Read. The poster before me said "this is the 2nd night ...." And what do you mean with 10 minutes ? Just to get the 150K I was talking about ? Or YOU only buy-sell 10 minutes a day. Yeah, right.

It takes about 10 minutes to get 3 million gold for people who have grinding weapon that gains 20k+ gold. With this money you can gamble for let's say 60 rings. With selling back unusable ones even more. If you have read more carefully you'd see it took 2 days the guy to actually gamble something valuable NOT to get gold.

So it took him 2 days to spent 3 million.

With all your cheesy clicking, you still lose 3 million faster than you "earn" it.

My assumption is he spent 2 days buying-selling-gambling:

This is my 2nd night of taking advantage of this loophole in the game and it finally paid off. I gambled a Rare necro coronet:

Well this little exploit paid off last night in 2 very different ways. I was in a game working on getting my El Druid through act 2 when a guy comes in and ask what I'm doing. I tell him and he says he's bored and will help get me to act 5. As soon as we get to act 3 he asks for gold to repair his armor so I drop 1 million on the ground for him. He thanks me and informs me that he goes through gold fast repairing his armor, so I decide to tell him how to get all the gold he will ever need. In awe he tells me he’ll give me a rush the rest of the way through hell and I get drops, and I get helfordge (only a damn PUL as it turns out). When all is done he asks if I need equipment and I tell him that the only thing I need is the rest of the runes for Exile for my paladin. He says wait one and comes back and drops a 34res all vortex exile on the ground and tells me that it’s mine because of the time I’ve saved him from now on. As it turns out the guy has a full account of characters all with Enigma for mele characters (5) and CoH for the others (3) of the 6 character he showed all equipment to me everyone had a BotD even a zon with a BotD Hydra, at least 2 HotO and no less than 2 Exile shields (1 with huge def). He also had full inventorys of +1 skillers all with 2nd mods. To fill the gaps under the skillers he had +life/Res all charms. I’ve never seen the number of items this guy had ever and all of it on Ladder. Well I am still in shock but hey that’s story 1.

Story 2 is I then took my new shield (the guy really didn’t need it) into a duel game to see if it worked better than my HOZ, and I, well, died and about 400k in gold drops from me. People freaked out “You’re dueling with that much gold?†“Are you nuts people take gold.†“You’re a noob dueling when you have a lot of gold†Anyway I decide to get more gold and really freak them out so I start the sell/buy of my war axe (25k by the way) and it starts dropping piles on the ground because I have to much on me then it happens “haxor†“u hax da game†“where you get gold hack†and a number of other comments. I found it very funny and dropped a couple of piles on the ground as these people followed me everywhere hoping to pick up what I dropped. So I lead them around for a short bit chuckling to myself as I did so, then left the game.

All in all it was really a pretty good night.

Both are sad stories and show where this gold digging leads to.

2 nights total and about 1 - 1 1/2 hour each night just on gambling. I do like to actually play the game. Anyway i got a great deal on coronet and it only took me bascially 3 hours to make 3 sojs on us east ladder.
With all that cheesy clicking, i made more in one transaction that most even own on ladder.

For people that need things spelled out:
Dupe trading and pathetic behaviour in general.
I really don't see this very minor exploit leading to a significant amount of dupe trading, certainly not more than the more dubious 'pindlebot'. As for generally pathetic behavior, you know very well that you don't need a 'cheesy gold exploit' to invoke that on battle.net. Skihard had a very unique experience, so complain and antagonize all you will, but the fact remains, the cheesy gold exploit is not changing the way things work on battle.net. But if complaining is your bag, why not complain about all the item selling sites whom every day are propagating duping by making cold hard cash off a computer game?

Edit: I like how you edited your post because originally it didn't sound like you were a complete a**hole. Can't have that reputation, now can we?

Just thought it was better English and thought I would be less harsh when using elaborate, but aparenttly not according to you.
To elaborate even further :-)
Maybe gold bots are already running, so indeed it will change things on bnet. Also, a lot of items gambled by the cheesy gold will probably be sold on those sites you're talking about making cold hard cash instead of 3 SOJs.
