Re: The Questions Thread

That's why prayer on a prayer merc synergizes meditation from Insight to give a double heal effect.

I don't get this...

How will the rate of something that Heals HP be double by something that recharges Mana...

I'm lost... :undecided:

Re: The Questions Thread

Meditation not only regenerates mana.

Meditation has two effects:
-mana regeneration
-healing effect that is exactly the same as prayer has and is based on the synergy

So if a prayer merc has insight it has two auras with total of 3 effects:
-regeneration of mana from meditation
-healing from meditation
-healing from prayer

hope this helps

Re: The Questions Thread

Thanks for that Flayed One!

That's what I get for not reading thoroughly.
Failed to read the "Bonus" part for Meditation for the longest time now.
Not that any of my 5 patted Pallies bothered to use the Aura, but it's always good to learn something new. :badteeth:
Thanks again!

Re: The Questions Thread

Ok, I have 2 questions:

1. How Infinity's Conviction can break Lightning Enchanted Lister's lightning immunity sometimes (but quite rarely)? Lister is Minion of Destruction type (33 Light res), Spectral Hit always (+20 light res) and when Lightning Enchanted (+75 light res) making a total of 128 Light res. Lvl 12 Conviction lowers resistance by 85%, making it break light immunes with 100 + (85/5) = 117 or lower light res.
What is wrong with this picture?
(not that I mind when LE Lister can be damaged with Lightning :azn:)

2. I have a lvl 96 light sorc and she's halfway to 97. What would be the skill to put those spare skill points in (1 ATM)? I guess Static is the way to go but I would like to know there would other wiable options. Like would Shiver Armor be much better than Frozen Armor since it will freeze the enemy regardless whether the attack will hit/miss/be blocked IIRC. But would that little extra edge be worth 3 skill points and the fact that I would be able to use it only after 98?

This thing had something to do with the order of mods on Lister. If the mod which would make him lightning immune is after a mod which already makes him immune to two elements, his lightning immunity is capped at 99%. No tri-immune monsters in 1.11.

A matter of preference really. There's no big difference you can make with the remaining few points, so investing in the cold armors probably won't be a big waste.

Re: The Questions Thread

This question might be silly, but anyway... Do monsters that had one of their resistances capped to 99% due to 'no 3-immunities monsters' rule have excess resistance stacked?

Re: The Questions Thread

I don't think so. It's possible, I guess. But also easily tested. If you meet a Lister that should have lightning immunity as third, try attacking him with any lightning based attack with some amount of -enemy lightning resistance (preferably more then 10%, so the results are easier to see) and see if you do more then just the 1% of damage, which should be rather non-existant.

Re: The Questions Thread

The order in which resistances are applied is in the same order as the mods appear on a unique monster. If a monster has two native immunities, any res boni to those immunities will not be apploed. After a monster has gained two immunities, they aren't applied either. Spectral hit adds +20%, as long as the monster has 74% or less fire/cold or lightning resist. Magic Resist adds in the order cold/fire/lightning IIRC, but don't quote me on that order.

Re: The Questions Thread

Thanks San!

I just had Lister spawn with Stone Skin and LE and that made him vulnerable to lightning because he was Fire and Physical Immune.
And about spare skill points I think I'll save them for now...

Re: The Questions Thread

Is it possible to reroll a charm to the exact same mods? I'm kinda tired but I'm pretty sure I just rerolled a charm and the only thing that happened was that my gems disappeared. I don't think the graphic for the charm even changed.

Re: The Questions Thread

It sounds logicall to me. And I think you should be darn lucky to do so.

Dont know that lucky would be the right word since one rerolls things to change them usually. but yeah I would agree that there doesnt seem to be anything to prevent it from happening though it would be rare.

Re: The Questions Thread

For dual claw assassins, which claw (glove side or .... other side) determines the damage for Blade skills?

IIRC It should be the glove side. It shouldn't be so hard to check - just use one claw with knockback or elemental damage and one without it.

Well, it happens. I once rolled a hexing gc into......a hexing gc.
