I finally gambled a rare ring with really high mf (23 out of a possible 25 when combining the prefix and suffix), and dual resistances, with one of them being fire! The absolute dream ring would have had FCR but at least there's nothing offensive about the dexterity or replenish life . At the very least, it's sure bringing a lot more to the table than a Nagelring.
Then interesting drops got very very scarce until with 10 million xp left until clvl 99:

I thought I had found @Luhkoh 's Stormlash by mistake ... but then I looked at the stats ... absolute worst possible ED roll ... yeah, no ... this Stormlash was clearly meant for me. On the upside, the lightning absorb is perfect. I've also now completed the Stormlash Triple Crown: I've found one Stormlash at each of the Prime Evils. One at Mephisto on Battle.net long ago. One at Baal earlier this year. And now one at Diablo. Oddly all in 1.11b. What's that you say? The 'Stormlash Triple Crown' isn't a thing ... I'm just redefining success and declaring victory ... okay, you caught me ...
It looked like the Stormlash was going to be Helm-Hammerhand's last notable find before clvl 99 but then with four CS runs left to go:
