I will add, though, that switching from a fire Iron Wolf to a Desert Guard using Insight has been a *big* help. I had read somewhere that Act 3 mercs are good in CS (using Lawbringer), but it just didn't work very well for me.

A5 merc is likely what folks were talking about for Lawbringer. He’s very sturdy and the knock back to OK and knights is appreciated by some. I preferred Insight A2 merc for mana regen though, which will be especially helpful when you add Enigma, I think. Nice progress on runes, and hoping that Sur drops to allow try Enigma! Such a game changer, and especially for hammerdin, as the thread by @Luhkoh shows!

@snickersnack My Amazon actually use spellsteal quite often, since it is the only in hand teleport item I have. (And I dont have an even decent tele amulet or circlet.)

I know I could shop for a staff, but I have just been thinking "all this meph running (et al) will yield me Naj's staff soon".

Yeah, she Mat even. I have just put it off since I guessed Naj's would drop. Really need higher number of charges...

Anyone know if repairing cost for charges is different based on weapon type and/or other affixes?

it's based on the level of the charges

lower level= higher cost

Well... the joke I meant was that I had just found Jah and Sur, so giving me teleport charges a couple of runs later was .... "cute" of the game.

I didn't mean to be down on using TP charges. I've used Naj's Puzzler before, as well as charges on an amulet.

I agree. 30 is a bit low. In a pinch, and rune rich, sure, though.

@d2lover fwiw I made mine in a 28@ base and still havent found a better one. And I've played a LOT since then. I think ohm is far less rare than exile bases (unless you rack them) so I say why not.
