Re: City Mafia Game Thread
For everyone, I have a general question. I have read the host's posts, but since I didn't see this stated anywhere, I feel I have to ask (sorry if it's a given or I missed it): Does the Mafia team automatically has the ability to kill players every night? I ask because if the answer is "No", then we could be looking at more scum than usual.
Goryani's "Looking at the vote history, something seems off to me. Why no votes?":
I have the feeling most players took the selfish approach to choosing roles that would keep them safer, I know I did; therefore, I'm taking a more discerning approach in this game. Nevertheless, if there is one vote missing for a lynch, the phase is about to end, I'm online, and have suspicions about the targeted individual being mafia. I will vote to attain a lynch. Remember, though, that in this game, the lynch gets lock easier, or more inadvertently, than usual.
Bad Ash's "Caluin Graye confirmed that a SK needed to kill the first night":
Where does he say that? I searched for all of Caluin's post (using search function) but couldn't find it.
Sathoris' "Then you mumble the Lynch all liars rule which holds no value whatsoever so far":
I feel like I should elaborate: What I meant is that I think there are two contradicting possibilities regarding people's play styles in this game, both of which depend on the mafia. They will be either extra aggressive due to poor luck in roles, or very passive, or relaxed, if the odds played in their favor. "
Lynch all liars" is theoretically the most successful way to chose targets for lynching, until someone finds clues regarding others (e.g. cop reveals). There are several players who have, more than once, taken other's post and manipulated that information in order to have a finger to point to. Whether this was intentionally to provoke discussion or out of despair, is yet to be seen.
Finally, Do you think cities and states are anything more than flavor? I have rudimentary knowledge about United States' geography and relative involvement of cities regarding the country (go google!), but either way, I'm Phoenix, AZ... if that means anything to anyone, good for you.
