What do you mean by your edit?
I will try to answer/add to your first point. Craft rings with rubies of any kind + exploding potions (pick up pots one at a time w/ the inventory open otherwise you will only get one stack), craft 2x any topaz with rings for lite res and antidote pot + emeralds of any kind for poison res. These can all roll set/rare/unique like the cold res recipe so they're worth doing (especially lite res)
'shae' for greater blood gloves, ko/lum for blood ring/ammy and 6 perfect gems (all but skull) for prismatic amulets (just like the res rings but even better). Craft amulets at lvl 91+ for +3 skill tree.
Save sol for blood boots iirc (caster? maybe both?) and you can even make lesser blood/caster boots which are comparably good to the best boots (natalya's typically) but could have other useful perks as well.
Save all ort/fal for crafted weapons until you have something in particular you want to make (like mat javs you mentioned, or an amp dmg safety bow for a rogue merc).
I think dol and some other midrunes are useful but might as well collect lots of everything but el runes (I think eld for lesser boots which is why I started picking them up)
