Nice! That is very good for crafting, because it gives us a chance to control the ilvl of the crafted items.
Yes, Sorceresses are slow with nearly all weapons. The only exceptions are staves, polearms and 2h-axes, where she is the fastest class.

This will take some serious planning, but I have a pretty clear idea how I want to tackle a lot of things. I think I have a chance to go quite far.
One more question: I understand why I am not allowed to use Telekinesis on monsters (because it does some damage) but am I allowed to use it on other things, like picking up potions, hitting shrines, wells, WPs, activating Evil Urns, doors and the Altar of the Heavens, etc., from afar?

Shadow Master is OK.
Kicks have not been outlawed specifically, though I'm not sure how others who've played assassins have handled this. I myself am not a fan of assasins and have never played one for any real length of time. I guess the short answer is, you can use them.

@Ordeith: Personally i knew that finishing moves weren't specifically banned but haven't invested any points in them as i didn't think that they were in the spirit of the tournament, so i will refrain from using them. But if Sixstringer says it's ok feel free. :thumbup:

I haven't invested any points in them either since I felt that it didn't matter what kind of sword you had as long as you're wearing a couple of myrmidion boots. Defeating the purpose of having a sword of destiny. I am going with a shadow master since I've managed to justify it to myself now. The rules clearly states that two damage dealing partners are allowed without any restrictions for the partners (except the merc gear ofc). I'm still undecided on Phoneix Strike though. I think I'll end up using it since you have to use the sword to unleash the effects, and magical effects are allowed as long as the sword is involved in some way
Will be coming with an update soon, thinking of writing a small story for each update though. She's just finished the maggot lair so thinks are procceding nicely.

Through deep concentration, Orange Juice made it to Lut Gholein.
Things were fairly uneventful. He had a bit of trouble with an LE Vampire pack and a CE Tainted pack in the Catacombs 3, but nothing that the right potions couldn't cure.
Almost all of A1 went bye bye at p8, but he did take on Andy at p1: probably should have gone with p5 or so, cause she appeared to be highly allergic to Concentrated Orange Juice. Oh well.
He found a nice rare pair of boots (read: failed Sander's), and a nice Rare Fanged helm (no pic, though):

Dead-Man, Sand-Man, and the Tin-Man
With the help of his mercenary from act II and his iron golem, Zeath has made it to act 4.
Zeath hasn't found his sword of destiny yet but good things come to those who wait.
Finding both of his rare rings in act II almost side by side made the journey out of act 1 seem like it was going
to be a treasure hunters adventure. However, after this find the rares only showed up in bow or shield form making them only useful to the merchant he sold them to.
Act 2 went by without a scratch, however act 3 was a different story. Without the proper fire resistance the fetish shamans could almost drop all of Zeath's health in one attack. The two partners would have to take the lead. As the three of them went deep into the durance of hate they met up with more guards of Mephisto which used powerful fire attacks. After cutting our way through them we finally made our battle out with Mephisto himself. His lightning could barely phase any of the 3 adventures as they slashed, stabbed, and pounding their way through his demon hide to rip out his soul stone.
Within his corpse many rares and set items were found. Nothing of any use. So the three went through the red portal and continue their travels. Next to smash the stone and slay the beast we call Diablo.

Well Helena's time spent in Act 4 consisted alot of saying "Is that the best you got? I can take it." . . . "No I can't, I take it back!". Her time spent in the Chaos Sanctuary was even worse (needed to drop the player level down to 1 to keep my merc alive as I was out of gold). But in the end acting like a shield and getting the occasional hit in allowed my merc time to bring Diablo down. Now it's time for Act 5 with my nice and shiny 24% mf gloves from D.

I am not entering those damn Tombs until I have my insurance from BO & Co.; right now I'm lvl 22 1/2 and equipped with the suckiest sword this side of Sanctuary. Actually the only reason I haven't died so far is 'cause the monsters are laughing so much at my poor equip that they forget to actually kill me. I would be interrupted like Winona Ryder in that one movie if it wasn't for the fact that my attack is, by definition, uninterruptible. :thankyou:
So, how much wood would a WoodChuck chuck if a WoodChuck could chuck wood? I guess only Chuck would know. Let's hope he lives on long enough to find it out.

And selling it to Charsi just because I can (not wear it that is). I'd plead for an amendment to the rules if it weren't for the fact that I also found some gloves with puny Fire Res from ol' Andy... Will come in handy once I meet her big brother (lol these relationships are so complicated... Can't a man just smack a b***h every now and then?). :jig:

Macho has entered Nightmare very easy. My tactic was to lower player setting to P1, and run Eltrich & Pindle for leveling. Still no SoD (knocks in wood). Changed act 1 merc for act 2 one, and I couldn't believe how much things went easily from then.

Also found shimmering GC (10%), and nice rare Espadon in last Pindle run I did (that is first rare 2H sword that I got). Tough it lacks LL, I believe he will change my old sword from Act2.

Nice to see so many new faces around here, gl to all :thumbup:. Well as for Boxxy, we negotiated the CS without dying which is always a plus, took a while, The Infector of Souls was actually quite easy, just seperrated him and a few minions then went back and picked off the rest. It was the Lord de Seis and his minions who were troublesome this time, spawning with fanatism aura, merc had to be revived several times, but we got there in the end. So it was on to Big D this armed with full fire resist and 52% lightning resist. Made no differnce, that lightning hose is still deadly! But after about 10 mins, most of it spend dodging that hose Diablo bit the dust, his drops being totally useless, 4 magics and 1 set. Crap. Have killed shenk and saved the barbs, currently sitting at the Arreat Plateau ready for the Crystalline Passage.
@buraz: Love that ammy! :worship: Would give my left leg for those resists.

The day began nicely with Harlequin savein Decard Cain from the clutches of the foul inhabitants of Tristram.
First near-death-experience in the barracks, Harlequin ran into 4 champion shamins and was pinned against the wall.
However she emerged (mostly) unscathed!
The Smith was next on her list and she dispached him as well.
However after recieving a imbued 2 handed sword from a grateful Charsi

That brings an early conclusion to Harlequin's tail, for the elusive Sword of Destiny.

Just updating the table. I've been doing some LK runs to try and pick up some better gear. Consistent with the incredible luck I've been having with charms, I found a large charm with 22 health and 14% fire resistance and a Lightning Skiller with 12% FHR! :jig: Also, another Lum rune and an Amn.
Hopefully, I'll find a sword good enough to replace my current one.

I did it on P1, and it took me 15 minutes of fighting clones and returning to town, nothing to hard, but not easy also.
Yea, I love it also: I entered NM with resists something like this: 70/50/50/60 :whistling:

I must say it feels weird to have rescued Cain, playing a Sorceress who has used Frozen/Shiver Armor as her only skills.
I used my starting staff (two repairs needed!) until I had the stats for a 2h-sword at level 7.
Four rares found so far: Quilted Armor, Ring and Skull Cap, plus a Hunter´s Bow for the merc. Armor has FHR, and my three rares provide small elemental resistances.
Weapon is a 3s Two-Handed Sword with a chipped sapphire and two chipped topazes. I can´t be the first who have made one of these in the tourney, eh?
