Well, yes, that would be a place to look for Crystal Swords that can only get 4 sockets from Larzuk. But Crystal Swords drop so often IMHO that one could easily use the cube recipe until they get lucky :)

At players 8 the chance for a Cow to drop a Crystal Sword would be 1:425.
Since the alvl=mlvl in normal Cow Level, all normal items should have an ilvl of 28.

Another question - since Nagas(exceptional version of Berserker Axes) are listed as 48 ilvl does that mean the earliest they can appear is Arcane Sanctuary in Nightmare?(area lvl 48)

When does a + max damage charm get added into the damage calculations? Is it different than a + max damage jewel (that gets socketed into a weapon or armor)?

A quick question: how does eth armor def calculated?

eg. base def = 100. eth should makes it 100 x 1.5 = 150 without any other ED. But how ED apply (say 100%ED)? I'm thinking to make an eth duress for merc, but not sure how the final ED should be calculated. If it is on top of eth, then it may worth the rune, otherwise it is too expensive for me. I mean if it is base def x 1.5 x 3, the final def will be nice; but if it is only base def x (1 + 0.5 + 2), then I'd reconsider.

One should think so - but strangely ATMA lists them even earlier: Afflicted in the Catacombs level 3+4 can drop them according to ATMA, although an Afflicted's monster level is 43 and so is the alvl...but odds are quite bad there: 1:26623 on p8. Where the odds suddenly increase by the factor 10 is from Lost City on.

TC's don't go hand in hand with m/i/a-lvl. It's just a rough rule of thumb that monsters with lvl >= TC are almost always capable of dropping from that TC.

@DM: Haven't looked up any formulae, but I took a look at my eth. unique armors.

Non-eth venom ward with 100% ED has 138 def => base def was ~69.
Eth venom ward with 76% ED has 181 def => total def is ~2.62 times base def.
2.62 ~= 1.5 * 1.76

So it would seem to me that the eth bonus is multiplicative with %ED.

For eth and 100% ED it would be 1*1.5*(1+100/100), although I don't know when rounding exactly happens.

For a single-pass, full-clear characters such as the The Heptad Team Tournament, what level would you expect a character to be at the end of each act? Normal Act 1 appears to be level 20. In his MF guide, jiansonz implied level 39 for Normal Act 4.

Depends on your players setting, and how full clear you go (Doing all the false Tombs in Act 2?). I believe 20-21 for Act 1, 25-28 for act 2, 33-35 for act 3, 36-39 for act 4, and 45-50 for act 5 (depending on if you do all the alternate dungeons, your ball run, how much you hype exp shrines, if you drop to players 1 for some parts)...

Another question - if I have a cold Rogue with a 3s bow and each socket has a perfect ruby (15-20 fire damage), will the 45-60 fire damage be added in when the Rogue shoots a cold arrow?

Just wanna confirm some things that I cannot remember so well:

1. When using ranged weapons and elemental damage (such as that from SCs), then +% Elemental Damage does not apply, but -% Elemental Damage does.

2. AR, like life and mana, works like this:

[(Base + Direct AR) * (1+AR%)] + AR/Lvl

IE would AR from Angelics count with the AR%, or not?

Correct, if you mean -%elemental *resistance*. :wink3:

AFAIK it will be multiplied yes.

I just played another character from the Jail to the Inner Cloister and was missing the welcoming comitee on the top of the stairs. When was this boss-pack removed and why?

I mean that it was first stairtrap and one could anticipate it. So I'd say that it could be the place where everyone shoudl practise their charcters skills on handling stairtraps.

Flamespike the Crawler (I think that was his name) was removed when the Expansion pack came out. He wasn't really at the top of the stairs, he was where the dead rogue is now.

No idea why he was removed though.

Whenever you jumped down to the inner cloister WP you were in range of Flamespike and his pack of quill rats and it seemed like most of the time he was cursed. If you were playing online and you had any lag, you were probably dead.

Should a pure lighning zon have just 1 in all pre-reqs for the passive/magic tree? I know I max LF,LS and CS but what else? I read lightning bolt was also maxed purely for synergy, but only in 1 of the 3 guides. The other 2 didn't specify any reccomendations for the remaining skill points. Also after the main 3 skills are maxed as well as the passives, is there any variability for the build? like the meteorb with f.mastery and firebolt.

Last thing, what merc would compliment the build most?

Well, there's the non-Valk approach, where you mostly plink points in the last synergy, and usually also leave dodge/avoid/evade at zero, which is good for cows, I hear. Dodging animation is annoyingly slow, and doesn't get any faster with fhr or anything. And then there's the Valk-approach, which usually goes for slvl 17 Valk, for the rare War Pike that is generated on the lvl 17 Valk.
