YES! I slept 11 hours first time in ages an im ready to go! THanks for replies/reply guys. Yes i do realise its untwinked but im sure it said I can use a dump stash, cause i have loadsa normal gems i wanted to save for cubing. Today= my death or hell mode wish me luck -_-

Naab Fierysorc Short staff 1 Rogue EncampmentAs for an update, well this char SHOULD be dead and i should be banned from using teleport. In both claw viper and palace i decided to teleport cause i dont like those areas at all for leveling. I dont know have i survived but I did and im damn thankfull that I did. Well i made that partizan reciepe very usefull indeed. Plus made a blood helm for my merc which has like 3ll and it lvl 50 req because off other okish mods. Next up is well gear for this character and i need a unique cedar bow or long bow sooo bad. Im thinking off doing nm andy for either off them, I wish i had gone to act2 after doing andy im such a fool.

Naab Fierysorc Short staff 1 Rogue EncampmentI had a very NDE getting to the sanctuary, trying to take it slow but ended up dodging and running past fireeye who was FI and mana burn extra fast = 2 hit ko. Fortunately I hada belt of full rejuvz. Suprisingly maggots lair was no problem, ES has been a real life saver, the only thing that is keeping me alive now. Weapon changed, finally got a good phase blade to make that Lawbringer in, had been doing some pit runs for it. It has better speed and helps keep the undead at bay, and the added fire dmg is just great too.

I decided to turn my head to the tv to watch some women getting ripped to pieces by flying things in Pitch Black. I turn back to my screen to here the lovely sound of my sorceress wailing. Somehow my nice merc had swarmed a massice group of evil hell buzzards who alike on the film ripped me to pieces how ironic. Was a challenging tourny, im not a fan of a bow/enchant sorcy especially when your 55 with ne exspolsive arrows -_-. Best find was hexfire/hel rune/ dol rune. I really wanna make another hc char for a tourny but im afraid it wont be a enchantress. Teleport is just too suicidal when ur cjharacters taking on single enmies. Good luck everyone and grats to the new leader, hope you make it to baal, if you dont I might just have to make a new character ^^

I´ve changed my mind. I´m in. Couldn´t resist...:tongue:
With so many deaths already, my approach will be Safety First (Mixed in with crazy MF gear in Normal and Nightmare, of course! As usual...). Big two-handers are cool and stuff, but that´s not for Phiona. She will go for two big shields and maxed blocking with at least one of them. Her STR will likely not go much above 80. I will aim for level 5-6 Energy Shield, ready for use in late Nightmare. It´s not something I plan to use all the time, just in spots where I feel a need to lessen the risk for 1-2-hit death. Hence I won´t pump TK to even a second level.
I think there will be a LOT of gambling for Balanced Knives going on at some point, in search for the Ultimate Swiss Army Knife.
Looking back on Scorchie´s death in the SPUMF, I am already planning for how the heck I am going to survive Pindle´s garden in Nightmare. I am now awfully scared of that place!
'Nadir' helm for crowd control and a burly lad to hide behind are probably my best chances...
The choice of merc is actually wide open. Any of the 11 types that is not a fire mage is probably viable, as the build is reasonably solid. I guess a lot will depend on what gear I can get and how things develop.
My experince with the Enchantress build in the late game is slim, I have only my dear SniperBlazie´s adventure to fall back on. She was an expert with NDEs, which is not very comforting.
I see that only a few players in the list have mentioned a second weapon. Why so?
Phiona had a tougher start than what my sorcies usually have, because she wasn´t allowed to use Static Field, Frost Nova or even prerequisite skills. So far, the only skills other than Attack/Throw/Town Portal she has used are the two cold armors. She ended her third session at the bottom of the Pit as a fresh level 18, getting her first taste of Enchant next session.
A few decent finds and gambles so far, which has pushed lightning resist to 45% and the MF to +100% (+145% for Aliza´s kills)

Good luck m8, as far as I got it wasnt actually that tricky im guessing as soon as you hit hell player skills will have to be looked into. Just dont play foolish like myself and you should do fine, you seem to have the knowledge!
Olga played on P8 up until the Duriel battle. That was P1 and therefore only took about 5 minutes. Most of her battles at this point are very long and very difficult on P8. The merc dies regularly and she cannot use her bow effectively unless she has Oslaf taking blows for her. Speaking of her bow, she found a new weapon in the Duriel drop, Aldur's Rythum. She put a couple jewels and an Amn rune in it and thus added 29 fire resist, 8 resist all and +7% life per hit. She may play around with it until a really great bow comes along. She also found a unique full plate mail armor (Goldskin). Her level is now 57 and she is beginning the Kurast trek.
Well, that puts Olga in 7th place overall, 3rd place among the living. If she can survive the blasted flayers, she may pass up a couple more before she finds her deeds screen.

synax Jolly short staff 1 R.E.Reading about all this I'm tempted to try a 2nd Enchantress. jiansonz, I've put your score on the table -its a pleasure to have such a well-known SPF-er in the tourney.
Because at least until you get to Hell, it doesn't really matter. Virtually all your damage is going to come from enchant.
I chose not to have EShield or blocking, in favor of a second elemental damage (evidently not the brightest idea for a one-death-and-you're-out tourney), so a bow with good lightning damage was the obvious choice. I have a melee weapon and Ancient's Pledge shield on switch for those situations where good resists are important and where it is safe to melee. Useful for ranged elemental damage monsters like gloams but not much else.

she did a2 very well on p8, a random monster dropped this nice bow (raven claw) which is indeed crap, but i like that bcz "fire explosive arrows". she did duriel at p1 with some little problems but she killed him.
a3 was horrible... these little things running all around there... i hate this act, so i decided to play this one at p4 and did travincal at p2 meph at p1 and with a many usage of my numbers 1-4 on the keyboard it wasnt that problematical..
so a4 now, see what izzy says to steel :starry:

clvl 25-29
after the first steps out of the fortress i felt kinda helpless... one venom lord is a big problem: one inferno of these guys -> 50% life/mana r gone
so i decided to take a few more lvls at trav
at clvl 29 i did izzy
after killing him i decided where to put my ~100 stat points to: dex, dex, dex...
this built will be maxblock/maxES with high mana, so my life is very low (100) but now with 142 dex my block chance is at 65% and the ES absorbs 50%, so its okay.
[and all this with the blasting sound ov behemoth: Zos Kia Cultus at the background... all this noooo problem]
clvl 31: big D
first, the CS OTs killed my merc about 50 times or so... i hate this IM curse
big d killed him with only 2 hits, or with 1 second of his firestorm, so i had to do him alone:
/p1 and go, killing the last monsters and shot around 400 arrows at him before i got him

the arreat plateau was really easy, i dont have any problems there.. but my killspeed isnt that awsome ... found a nice shield "steelclash" just some res&block rate but my block is now 75%. and whaaa i love this ravenclaw
