@Cyrax I think the word twitterpated was made up for the movie Bambi. There's a scene where all the animals go through puberty and the first time they see the post-pubescent girl animals, all the boy animals get a bit lovestruck and they refer to it as being 'twitterpated.' Sorry, that reference is probably lost on most people given it's from a movie that came out in...1942!? Damn. I had no idea it was that old.

I like your view regarding trying to hang out outside of work moving forward - that's a good way to approach things I think. Other than that, I don't have much more to say. Thanks for sharing your story though; hopefully we facilitated some venting/talking it out for you a little bit. Unfortunately making people fall in love is not one of my abilities, otherwise I would certainly try for ya!

RL: Pulling OT to pay off bills. Such is life. My Wizard levelled up in D&D so I'm just reading about that.

D2: Trim and I got our untwinked FoHdin/Summoner combo to A1 Hell. Found three skillers and an Um so far.

OVG: Levelling up in Chronicon and playing the new season in Rocket League.

RL: Working overtime for a second Saturday in a row. I already feel like crap. 2 more hours to freedom

D2: Finished up my running mini-projects for now. Now I'll have to finally decide with what build I want to run Baal with.

Current options are:

• Javazon - Guardian and ready to run just waits for me to roll Infinity. I have a Griffon too which is nice.
• Windy - Midway through Normal. I have some nice items for him too but he's sort of not that good fighting Lister... and Baal Himself. And I want Essences and ilvl99 GC's.
• Zealot - Use my Travincal Zealot with a couple of gear tweaks. I like Zealots a lot. They're super safe and melt everything. But they're slightly slow time-wise.
• Kick/Trap hybrid - I might respec my Nat's WWSin because I don't feel like leveling one.

Of course Java will be fastest and easiest but we will see.

RL: Finished work three hours earlier than usual, leading into a day off tomorrow. Time to relax and...

D2: ...build my post-restart Insight for my L30 MF Sorc. My untwinked MP game with TheReadMenace has reached A3 Hell. I'm going to put some MF gear on my Summoner to see if we can get some nice finds leading into the endgame.

OVG: Probably a few games of Rocket League and Chronicon to break it up.

Nice reference. Could also have gone with "keeps offering me 'something good' to not kill him" for the D1 reference.

Dark Souls was epic... still play through a couple New Games from time to time. And imo, Dark Souls was the best PvP format to date. Dark Souls2 was rubbish. Dark Souls3 was better, but I still prefer Dark Souls. Demon Souls was also awesome, but even more infuriating.

Not to be OT:
RL: started a new job almost 3months ago. Didn't want to move right away in case it was a bad fit, so been keeping an apartment in old town, and another in new town... it's been expensive, to say the least. Luckily new job has pretty much as much OT as I want, so been doing that to offset. Need to move (bleh).

D2: been trying to finish a playthrough I've been doing with a Liberator-build, so I can respec for an AS runner for RFL. Finally finished, but now I like the char so much I want to keep it as is, even though it's not a good runner for anything... probably just respec fo RFL then respec back... still have a third after that, I guess.

OVG: Apex Legends. If you FPS at all, definitely check it out.

I don't think it's too bad... how old is your GPU? That's where it really hurts.

You can tweak it to how it runs best with the slew of video options (listed at bottom of page linked (and how cool is that?! Go EA... never thought I'd say that...)), but I would definitely make sure I had damned good connection if you are running at minimum system reqs.
Or if you have a last-generation console, you can just do that. I cannot speak as to how this affects quality, but I hear good things.


As for getting into it... there is a steep learning curve, especially it being MMO, but if you FPS much, it's pretty simple to get started. The complexities you kind of pick up on as you go (or I did, anyway), so it isn't like you are fumbling around with no idea until you get a handle.

Hi Cyrax, welcome to my life. I also have a girl at work that I would like to get to know better, thus I’m on a diet regimen until I get back to a slightly overweight person. Last one of my entire generation still without an gf (even my sister at 19 has an bf she’s been seeing steadily since high school)

RL: on vacation starting tomorrow afternoon through next Thursday. Gonna tour the west and do a bunch of national parks (minimum Theodore Roosevelt, glacier, Zion, Bryce Canyon, capital reef, the parks around Seattle)

D2: lost interest

OVG: made level 39 in pogo. Only 3.5 million exp to go to 40..... also community day was nice. Got a bunch of shiny torchics.

@srrw Javazon and Zealdin are the two main chars I play currently. Other than bowzon, which is my next big project, those two have become my favorites.

I hope you're having better luck with her then i am. But since you didn't mention that she's definately not interested i'm still gonna feel more sorry for myself. I also got the feeling it's more than just a crush. Monday when i went home from work (her) i immediately felt my mood getting much worse and my stomach even started to hurt for a bit. Decided not to go to play sports because i was so crancky i wouldn't want to annoy other people by looking at me plus it would definately have a negative impact on my performance which in turn would make my mood even worse.

Last two days my mood hasn't been all that great because of it either. And today i thought to finally have some time with her alone during our lunch walk because the colleague that lately joined us wasn't coming. But of course there was another colleague that all of a sudden decided he wanted to join us. Also a nice guy, but i would rather he would not have come along.

Next week is a short week so i'll even only be seeing her 3 days then. So more sadness coming.

And to top it off i just put my groceries in my car at the super market only to find out someone scraped the rear of my car somewhere in the last few days because there is some paint missing. So yeah, life is great. If you're not me. At least i imagine it is. Anyway, as stated before: I hope you're having more luck than me (the good thing for you is that you can hardly do worse).

Well, i guess that summed up RL. OVG: Some more ESO i guess. Or maybe not since i think there was maintenance somewhere. Would fit right in with how my life is going now to not even being able to do something that can slightly distract me. We'll see.

EDIT: Oh and i forgot to mention that we are in the same room at work. She was sitting next to me but because she was sitting under a fan which was not very nice (climate control has been a b*tch lately, last 2 days cold. Now i put on something with sleeves and now it was hot) she decided to move her desk to the other side of the room. It's a legitimate reason and it's not like she's moved far away, but somehow i still feel somewhat rejected.

Forgot to mention, she sits in the cubicle directly across from me divided by a wall. Since the government had the brilliant idea to combine vaults into a super vault she’s been there.

Time for a vacation maybe? That might help you take stuff off your mind.

I'd rather not. That'll only worsen it since i'll have more time to think about it/her/my life (or lack of all the previous).

I kinda would like to know if she'd be open to do stuff together outside of work, but i have no idea if she'd be even close to being interested and i have no idea how to find out without actually asking. Which is something i kinda don't wanna do because i'd hate to get another kick (not physically) when i'm already down.

Not knowing and wondering is always worse. Not taking the chance and asking yourself "what if...". Just go for it. Ask. Being rejected is not a bad thing. It hurts your ego but who cares about that anyway.
