Orange You Glad That Rune Dropped: Craft-Centric Tournament

Annnnnnnnd, we're off! Ran the first half A3 in a session to go ahead and be done with that whole jungle bit. Very nice to hit the ground running courtesy of the Flesh Beasts left behind after The Dark Wanderer poofs. Was lucky and got the Jade Figurine before I had even gotten out of sight of the Docks. Spider cavern was very close as well, so really got into the swing quickly. Squishy eye recovered.

Flayer Jungle started off nicely, with a Gem Shrine.

OUGNecroGemShrineNFlayerJungle.jpg

So that's those Saftey boots we have been hoping for pretty much wrapped up, be a nice way to start off the next session.

After that, decided to go the way less traveled and cleared the Great Marsh as soon as we found that. Was slightly trepidatious for the Gloams, but after encountering the first pack had figured a way to mitigate that nonsense with something that has never occurred to me before; Bone Wall. As soon as I saw the wispy bits on the edge of the screen, or lightning bolts flying past, would drop a BW between the crew and the Gloams. Apparently BW is one of those 'summons' with ridiculously high priority for the AI, and they would routinely ignore the skellies, gumby, and merc to try and tear it down ASAP. On top of that, at the low slvl we are casting it, it was never enough to totally block the way, so the crew would just run around it and beat on the Gloams while they beat on the BW. Best of all, Gloams would beat on it, rarely throwing Lightning after it was down. Pretty sweet the way that worked... definitely have to remember that for A4 & A5. Anyway, during the clearings going on, we found something else of note.

OUGNecroRareBP.jpg

(SS from IDing didn't take, so this is from after session)
Well, that's better than the gemmed BP we were currently wearing, no question. Had a Tir on hand, so we stuck that in and left the second open ftb. When we sold the gemmed BP, checked the Armor tab just to see what he would sell it back for, and he had spawned a Mechanic's(2os) Bone Helm of Brilliance(+9). Yep, we'll take that too, far superior to the 2os(unused) Helm we had been wearing since early A2. Put a Tir in that as well, and Mana issues are slowly fading memory.

Back to the Flayer Jungle, we shortly found the Gibdin and thusly Flayer Dungeon, which contained a second Gem Shrine! Luckily, we had the just enough gems to put together another flawless, and presto.

OUGNecroGemShrineNFlayerDungeon.jpg

That'll be the Caster amulet I figured would be further off. While we were in town, passed the Gibdin on to Ormus, and got possibly one of the best rings I've ever got from him.

OUGNecroNOrmusRing.jpg

Dude's on a roll...
Back in the jungle we pressed on and the game played a lovely joke on us in the Marshy Pit... ANOTHER FREAKIN' GEM SHRINE. Well, this time we didn't have the gems to scrape together yet another flawless, but maybe if we press on through LK we can, then come back to milk this obscene lucky roll we are on...

Soon met Stormtree and was all aflutter to get to those tasty poppables. Very nice rune drops, but no luck on getting enough of any one type of gem to get that flawless, but maybe Bazaar will...

Well, it didn't provide the gems, but did continue with a windfall of runes, making me feel much better about socketing those Tirs. So much so, that my inventory space was getting rather tight... well, want to clear the temples anyway, let's see how that goes.

Stairtraps, that's how that goes. If it wasn't for the crew and CE, and the MPK provided by the extra sockets, that would have been very potentially game over... as it was, I still had to empty my belt of blues in Ruined Temple. Got the book and burned several TPs pawning all the drops worth selling. Still short on gems. Disused Fane wasn't as bad, but still not the gems we were hoping for and inventory is totally full at this point, so we bit the bullet and settled for a flawless ruby from the shrine back in Marshy Pit. Back to loot and it was getting tedious to rearrange everything, and late to boot, so decided to blitz to UK WP for S&E. Figured unsummoning half the skellies would be enough to be sure to not kill anything... don't think I'll try that sort of nonsense going forward, things got dicey when we ran out of stamina and were chilled from blizzards, but made it through.

It was only when muleing that I truly appreciated the total scope of how fortunate we were overall this session. Big upgrades to both armor and helm slots, couple of charm upgrades, 3 gem shrines, and a stunning total of 28 runes, with only 2xEl and 1xEld, just from the first half of A3... absolute nuts.

***

Next session cleared out UK without any major difficulties and with much trepidation approached the first temple
Total cakewalk. Well, that just means the other one will be a total pain. Nope, easy as pie, no stairtraps in either and the crew is just slaughtering everything... had to double check, and yeah, it's on/p8. No drops of particular note, but exp is going good.

Sewers next, and I'm always jumpy anywhere that has dolls, so we ease along, taking it as it comes. Found stairs down within 3 screens of entering, and cleared that out, scoring a Ral from one of the chests. Back to town to stash the heart and Ral, and pawn the accumulated junk. Back in sewers we inched along, but never really had any terrible problems, and netted several more runes, 2xTal and another Ral among them, plus gems to cube up 2 more flawless. Sweet, we always like smooth sailing.

Back topside, we head on to Causway and go to enter the first temple with Decrep on the ready, because we just know it's a stairtrap waiting... but it's not... and its tiny, one champ pack (rogues or Flesh Hunters, iirc, is thier name at this point) and one bosspack of bats. Next temple. No stairtrap. Ok... inch along waiting for it. Champ pack of vampires is annoying, but not dangerous, though I have to be careful of meteors, as fire res is still in the teens. Boss pack of serpents, aura enchanted, HF. Slow going, but still nothing dangerous, though did have to fall back and reraise a couple of skellies. And just as I'm relaxing, BAM, mob of beetles around the next corner. Sticky situation that, as Necro was out in front to pull the crew along and got hit a couple of times rushing to get behind the skellies. Chugged two health bottles, but probably could have not downed the second... oh well, pots are cheap, and have only been using one here and there to keep red bulb full. Get past that, and that's pretty much the end of the temples.

Travincal next, and I know I don't want to get anywhere near the Council until I have cleared out the rest of everything so we have room to maneuver away from Hydras, so we start along the outside wall. Just as we are getting to the rear of the map there is a Fire Res Shrine... well damn... Council should be much easier now. We go ahead and clear the lower half of the map, skirt the Council house, and grab that FR Shrine, because I'm just wanting to get to it. Inch up and pull Toroc. Almost immediately gumby bites it and I'm starting to worry about rushing it... but that was totally unfounded as Toroc is down before I can refresh Amp... Inch forward, and end up pulling 3 no-name Councils, who die twice as fast. By now I'm feeling a little ballsy, and worried FR Shrine will expire if I drag this out. Run up on the porch bit and all the rest are inside. Skellies run in and I drop a quick gumby and Amp. This is more sketchy... lots of Hydras going off, but the crew is engaged so I just dodge and keep Amp up. Then FR Shrine expires. The stray Hydra bolt hurts, but not bad enough to bail, and directly Ismail is only one left, then none. Well that wasn't nearly bad like I was afraid. Pawn the drops and stash the flail, go back to finish clearing the rest of Trav. I had been thinking you had to smash the Orb before zealots would run away from you, but that was entirely incorrect... so spent the next ~30m finding, then chasing down the cowards after killing the Hierophants and vamps. Tedious, but I'm close to dinging a level and I'm keen to do that before engaging Meph, so we plug along.

Durance 1 comes and goes in the blink of an eye, with about the only excitement being the moment of panic that comes with the scurrying of bony little feet. Durance 2 is about the same, and I stop and reflect before jumping down to lvl3. Outside of like 2 more Ith, there really hasn't been any good drops, though gems are coming, so I'm just assuming I used up my luck on the first half of A3, which was good enough for me to not feel too rough about it. Also dinged level33, so can't complain too much. We take the plunge down to Durance 3. Councils at the door are kind of a pain, but only because they line up in the doorway and the crew can only stand so that two are attacking while the rest just mill about. Annoying, but not dangerous. Reraise the three skellies that died and go on to clear out the two sides quickly and smoothly, surprisingly so, in fact. Ok... time for it...

We skirt the inside of the moat trying to not get so far in we spawn Meph and the vamps at the same time... get all the way to the ramp to the portal and still haven't spawned Meph. Well, crap... inch forward, straight up the middle, still trying to only get Meph without vamps. Meph spawns, and we run back to the portal ramp but the crew doesn't even pay attention and straight bum-rushes him. Then vamps spawn. Great. Skellies and gumby melt quickly under a barrage of meteors and firewalls while they are all totally focused on Meph, while I'm trying to keep everything Decreped while mana-pool keeps emptying faster than greater blue pots can keep it filled. Damnit. Run back while merc is still standing with the intent to reraise the crew and try this again... but all the corpses from Council and vamps in the first half of Durance3 are gone. DubyaTeeEff. Pop back up to Durance2, but there are no corpses there either. So either this didn't go nearly as quickly as it seemed, or there's some mechanic that makes all corpses in Durance poof when Meph spawns... Ok, new plan. We moat-trick and recast gumby by Meph as merc plucks away and necro spams Bone Spear and keeps Decrep up. Reengage. Quickly becomes apparent this is going to be as drawn out as the Duri fight, as merc may as well be launching spitballs, and necros lvl4 Bone Spear does even less, not to mention that gumby gets one-shotted pretty much as soon as casting animation finishes. Also, that lightning hurts... bad, really bad, like, 1/3 of my hp bulb bad. Merc agrees with that sentiment and bites it after taking two lightning bolts then a cold orb. Retreat, back to town, rez merc and change belt to 1 row of health pots, 2 rows of mana pots, and the reliable row of purples. Back to the good side of the moat and the crummy situation that this is, do the thing, burning 3 blue pots for spamage and a purple keeping merc on her feet, then pull back to breathe and restock belt before reengaging. Mistake. As soon as we get back in range Meph shoots a cold orb at necro, and we don't dodge it this time. OHK. Deeds of idiocy remebered.

Sorry about the deeds @zemaj Necro is tough at Meph with these restrictions :( Hope you'll try another character.

Orange has made it to A2 NM, and done her crafting. But I'm just going to post the A1 NM stretch here, and do the gear rundown at the end of the weekend, when she's hopefully a bit further into A2 NM, having taken down Radament so far. Actually not much of an update, with Akara giving a nice ring for the Cain rescue and the Countess dropping her 5th Shael (5th!):
NM A1 (Akara Ring).jpg
NM A1 (Countess).jpg
We also picked up a Garnet SC of Strength (9/2) early in the Act, and an Emerald GC of Strength (29/4) late in the Act helping out a lot. She almost deeds to Pitspawn with no CBF making it quite dicey and his pack being well outside the rooms where he normally hangs so catching me a little by surprise. We had to retreat two rooms back to string them out before getting the upper hand.

That experience put me pretty strongly on the path of Rhyme shield for Normal Anya personalization reward, as uncreative as it is. I also had picked up an eth Partizan (that ultimately got 4os in the cube when I hit A2 NM) as another solid option, but CBF was reinforced several times in Catacombs to win the day. Andy was taken at p8, with two merc resurrections needed, but not too tough and level 53 at the end of the Act.
NM A1 (Andy Down).jpg
At the end of A1 NM we had 24 pgems, but 10 were diamond, skull or topaz, so only 14 crafts (5 pAmethysts, 3 pEmeralds, 4 pRubies, and 2 pSapphires). We had only 1 Thul and 2 Amns, with 5 Rals and plenty of others (6 Sols! and 8 Tals). As noted, we burned an Amn, Ral and pAmmy on the eth Partizan, which was kinda dumb because I knew we would end up going Rhyme for CBF. So we had only 13 crafts available. I'll include the results in my next update!

CS and LS are maxed, so we'll add a few more points to Decoy before getting the last 10 to max PS for the synergy. We'll then probably add points to jab to get ready for LIs, although I'm not sure if that will be a reasonable solution along with the HF merc. We'll see.

We just got an interesting drop...
Screenshot005.jpg

Too bad I can't really test it out in this tournament before I'd have to use a personalization reward, but it does seem to have some potential as a means to deliver some amp damage to physical immune monsters...

And, @zemaj I was going to say I found your guy's amulet, but...
Screenshot003.jpg

@zemaj: Very sorry to read about your deeds!

Destroyer Lugh!!!! There...better this time? 😬
Screenshot107.jpg

I now know again, why I didn't guardian a tournament barbarian so far...because it is a slog :p

Normal consisted mostly of me watching my merc poke monsters and give him a boost with BO while tautning Gremlins in Act V. My damage so far was negligible. Well, I had OW from my Steel Long Sword (yeah, upgrade over Broad Sword)...

I kept on looting every monster I could (well, after waiting for minutes at downed Reanimated Hordes to see if they rise again for the extra XP and drops). I even got some runes out of this! Yay me!

Baal was a 15 min fight - thankfully, shortly before the fight (even before facing the Ancients!) a 3 os Partizan dropped, so my merc's weapon was upgraded to a Malice Partizan. The Ancients didn't pose a threat and were sloooooly disposed of (OW for the win!).

Anya's reward was bettern than my +2 Find Item plain helmet:
Screenshot098.jpg

My first Shael
Screenshot093.jpg

went into a Rhyme Bone Shield - this is a candidate for personalizing for sure! Depends on if I want to go max Block Concetrate route (AFAIK the block animation won't happen because of Concentrate, but hits will still be blocked) or if I want to use this beauty (via the personalize quest):

Screenshot088.jpg

No, not the Tearhaunch, but this:
Code:
     Bonesnap
Maul
     Two Hand Damage: 117 - 168
     Durability: 54 of 60
     Required Level: 24
     Required Strength: 69
     Fingerprint: 0x8929048
     Item Level: 40
     Version: Expansion 1.10+
291% Enhanced Damage
     +200% Damage to Undead
     40% Chance of Crushing Blow
     Cold Resist +30%
     Fire Resist +30%
Socketed Shael and upgraded this might be a good choice for a Concentrate Barb who doesn't have to care about slow attacks being interrupted by hit recovery animations.

What do the Barb specialists among you think? Is it worth locking myself into Bonesnap as my go-to-weapon? I will lose access to the Blood recipes for my weapon (well, not really, but considering weapon mastery) but can still use the Safety and even Caster weapons (Scepters!) to maybe craft another weapon I can use...decisions, decisions...that Bonesnap would have made the Baal fight end much faster, I suppose...

Destroyer Lugh, level 48 Concentrate Barb, NM Rogue Encampment next.

EDIT:
STR: 77
DEX: 39
VIT: 131
ENE: 10
Remaining Stat points: 68
Resists: 75% all in Normal

Skills:
BO 20
Find Item 5
Natural Resistance 2
Concentrate 2
Some one point wonders
no mastery yet
Remaining skill points: 8

Gems:
4 PAmethyst
2 PDiamond
1 PEmerald
3 PRuby
2 PSapphire
1 PSkull
1 PTopaz

and maybe 2-3 more if I cube up everything

Runes:
El x 10 (2 used: Malice Poleaxe, Malice Partizan, 2x Steel)
Eld x 7
Tir x 21 (3 used: Nadir, 2x Steel)
Nef x 7 (1 used: Nadir)
Eth x 10 (3 used: 2x Malice, Rhyme)
Ith x 11 (3 used: cubed Partizan, 2x Malice)
Tal x 11 (1 used: Ancient's Pledge)
Ral x 5 (1 used: Ancient's Pledge)
Ort x 5 (1 used: Ancient's Pledge)
Thul x 3
Amn x 3
Sol x 1
Shael x 2 (1 used in Rhyme)

@Grisu an updated and shael'ed Bonesnap can take you through the rest of the game, no problem. That's certainly an option probably far superior to what you can make.
Thanks fot the advice! I don't know if I can stand a 17 fpa attack for the rest of the game though...if I manage to craft 20% IAS gloves, 15 fpa is possible.

hmm...it is obviously circumventing the original design of the tournamnet focusing on crafted items. On top of that I noticed that Charsi Imbue and Anya reward are usable throughout the game, so that's 3 items per difficulty one can use without the need of crafting an item. I'm not sure if I should rather stick to the idea of equipping as much orange items as possible...in which case Blood Axes would be better than Safety Maces...decisions, decisions...

What is everyone else planning? Make use of the additional non-crafted items? Stick with crafted items?

As a melee character, I would definitely plan on personalization for a god-sent tool!

As a trapper however, I will just try to craft +trap skills claws, that being thanks to personalization, as those weapons can't be crafted in any way, and if I'm not mistaking the only way to get those needed +skills. Imbuing to try my luck on circlets/tiaras/diadems in Hell. But well, as it should be doable to complete the run *naked*... not sure I am good enough at that for HC tho!

And my gear is planned, btw. Check it out!

Just when it seemed I was catching up...😢

Do you really think WW is going to be viable? I mean, it is still very slow...although if the German Weapon Speed Calculator is right:

IAS
attack speed [ticks]
attacks per second
0
12
2.08
6
10
2.5
16
8
3.12
37
6
4.16
69
4
6.25

Then I'd be able to reach 6 fpa with 20% IAS gloves and 8 fpa with my current setup...hmm...

I'd need some decent amount of mana leech though to make this viable. Has anyone ever tried an Bonesnap Whirler?

Don't know yet, I might give it a whirl 🤷‍♂️

Thanks for clearing that up! So I don't even need 20% IAS gloves ... intriguing. But maybe this is just a ploy of yours to let me whirl to my certain death while you claim the tournament crown?

WC berserker for the win. Nightfish blazed this trail and concluded (in my view correctly) Bonesnap is top 3 for the build and quite safe for untwinked HC playthrough. I think it’s closer to 1b personally compared to steeldriver, maybe 1a if single pass due to resists. It’s not everyone’s play style in terms of fun, so worth considering. But definitely a good option for this tourney rules.

This game is definitely giving me options regarding dealing with eventual PI monsters... so many choices, so few Anyas to rescue! We found this with about five monsters left to kill in the entire arcane sanctuary. I really dislike fighting in this place, and I am pretty certain that this is the first time I ever got anything actually useful as a S/U here. And we did it with 13% MF, ha!
Screenshot012.jpg

@zemaj tough break on Meph, any thoughts on rolling a new character?

@Grisu I can also recommend the Nightfish berserker option with that Bonesnap, though take that with a grain of salt since I deeded that same char recently in the Barbarian Brothers tourney.

@OldSoldier Valryka is very jealous of that WWS drop! That's on my list of uniques that would most likely get personalized in this tourney.

Valryka started NM Act 3 with 3 boss packs basically just outside of town, so we got the Jade Figurine right away. Always nice to get that life boost immediately at the start of the act.

The Swampy Pit was tough, with gloams and undead dolls. After the Swampy Pit and the Flayer Dungeon, I started thinking it might be worth investing skill points to open up LF. Having a ranged attack that can hit multiple baddies would have been super helpful down here. I got amped by a boss pack of dolls in the Flayer Dungeon while LS was bouncing around and caught at least one but maybe 2 death explosions which took off ~600 life instantly. Not fun. We did enjoy the end result of clearing out this room:
Screenshot003.jpg

Ormus did not repeat his process from Normal and gave Valryka a terrible ring for returning the Gidbin... I did some gambling post Flayer Dungeon and finally got a lance. This paired nicely with a new Sol drop (finally!), so Kasim got a new Safety craft. I also realized at this point that I have 6 Amns and you can turn Amns into Sols... I decided to craft another set of caster gloves since the current ones don't offer that much. I was hoping for some resistances but they turned out even worse than the original set, so we'll stay with those for now. The lance rolled with no ED (grrrrr) but at least had IAS and 7LL, so the damage did increase and now Kasim is at 11LL which is pretty decent.
Screenshot004.jpg

We were hoping for a rune bonanza in LK, but all we got to show for the full clear is a single paltry Dol. Crafted another set of Caster gloves before going into the Sewers, with decent results this time. Ran into an LI Unraveler boss in the Sewers Level 2; he was a tough one to bring down. He kept killing Valks, but fortunately the last Valk spawned an Amp damage weapon, and that allowed Kasim to finish him off.
Screenshot006.jpg

We found a skiller on this playthrough! Graverobbers GC in one of the false temples. Trav decided we deserved all the runes. We got a Lum and Pul within minutes of each other! We are now prepared for an Exceptional Unique weapon upgrade/personalization if a good one drops.
Screenshot007.jpg
Screenshot008.jpg

No NDEs this act but we did lose ~600 life in one shot again when we got caught in a doll explosion in the durance. I think two must have exploded at the same time. After that, Valryka made sure to stay well away from the dolls. It takes Kasim and the Valk a bit to take them out on P8, but when other monsters are around Valyrka can use LS on them and the bounce will often take the dolls outs. Bremm came right out to meet us, which turned out to be really nice since there was a double boss-pack of Blood Lords in the main room on level 3.
Screenshot010.jpg

I forgot to change the player settings so we took Meph on at P8. Wasn't an issue, just took a decent amount of pots. Had to recast the Valk a few times but Kasim stayed alive the whole fight. His drop didn't improve any of our gear.
Screenshot011.jpg

And with that, we've made it to Act 4, which is always my favorite act!

Interesting S/U drops were pretty sparse this act.

Hellclap - Flayer Jungle
Graverobbers GC - Temple
Lum - Travincal
Pul - Travincal
Bonesnap - Durance Level 2

Valryka, level 64 CS/LS Javazon, Act 4 NM

in halls of the dead level 2, and interesting potential alternative to Insight:

GaranDarkslayer moved on through act II. A few screenshots to reveal his progress, shall we?

We finally got the Io we sought after to make the Black runeword. We ended up making it after the act was completed, but alas we got it done.
Screenshot006.jpg

Seethe Venom was a toughie...
Screenshot009.jpg

...mostly because he was stacked with Dire Killer and an ape beast boss pack in the same corridor. We prevailed eventually, but the cellars are one of my favorite places to fight in the game because they have such active and diverse combat possibilities.
Screenshot010.jpg

Black Maul and his buddy Moon Ripper were not difficult once we pulled away their minions and dispatched them forever with some Redemption (which admittedly makes the pace of the game pretty slow, but I'm not about to have to fight in two directions.

Screenshot015.jpg

Death Crawler assaulted us right off the bat in one of the false tombs. You can't see it here but there's some unholy bolts I noticed also. Put together the holy freeze aura, lightning bolts from the beetles and resurrected undead guys right at the beginning of the level with no maneuver room, and we decided to leave these guys be, forever. Maybe GaranDarkslayer should hereafter be called GaranChickenrunner?
Screenshot018.jpg

One of my most frustrating D2 experiences in a long time came in one of the tombs, here.
Screenshot019.jpg

We were accosted by a boss pack of ghosts and Gulzar had been bugged into not being noticed by them, so I basically had Garan run in circles around him while the ghosts chased the fateful paladin and ignoring Gulzar. Which is fine if Gulzar has some OW damage, but he does not and since they all ran through him, he changed his targets constantly and they regenerated to full easily. Every time that Garan stopped to try to smite one to make it stay still so Gulzar could punish it, one of the other 9 ghosts (yes there were ten ghosts chasing him) would connect and heavily damage Garan despite 75% block.
Screenshot021.jpg

It took about 40 minutes to take out this pack. It was straight up awful but after I'd spent so much time on it I did not want to give up. Eventually Gulzar got them down to about 4 or 5 and we could take a stand and smite enough to gain the upper hand. Ugly.

I need points to put into Sanctuary, which will be the case next time we come through here, hopefully.

GaranDarkslayer, level 60, Kurast Docks. I am holding off on doing any more crafting until after level 71 to guarantee more affixes. Can someone fix the table? I am old after all and cannot figure out how to format it properly. I can also fix if someone will give me a primer.

@OldSoldier nice tenacity with the Doom Maul fight! I understand the urge to not give up after you've spend a bunch of time already.

I always enjoy Act 4, the graphics of the terrain are just really cool. LS was definitely starting to slow down against big HP monsters here, but CS is still working really well. Here's an action shot of the team taking out Izual:
Screenshot002.jpg

Those skill points allowed the Valk to get to 17. I'm just going to save skill points for a bit now while I decide what to do with them. PS for the CS/LS synergy would be nice, maybe a few more into Jab if we ever get a decent physical damage jav. We popped another Pul in the RoF; 2 Puls is definitely a record for me in NM!
Screenshot005.jpg

Hephasto was not an issue. I don't even remember what his aura was, but the team had no trouble with him. Hellforge was an Um! And the Ruby and Emerald were nice to see as well. We've got some runeword options now, with Crescent Moon/Duress being candidates for a personalization.
Screenshot012.jpg

We had a scare in the CS, when Kasim and the Valk kept getting wiped out by the first group of baddies that we ran into. After a bunch of retreating and resurrections I finally found that we had hit a double-boss pack; extra fast knights with HF aura ghosts. This was tough because the OK boss would retreat faster than we could trap him, grab another boss pack nearby, and then we'd have to battle that group as well. We took out the ghost boss, a cursed venom lord boss, and one more cursed OK boss before we hunted the original extra fast guy down. This shot was from before Wind Rend ran away to wake up the other cursed OK boss.
Screenshot013.jpg

CS wasn't too bad, but our health could ping around quite a bit if we were under Amp or Decrep. I was worried about DeSeis but he wasn't actually that bad. Kasim took a few pots to stay alive, but we took his pack out fast and then just had to pin him so he couldn't run away. Took a few decoys to get him trapped, but once we had him it wasn't long to despose of him.
Screenshot017.jpg

We got the linear Infector layout, so we had the whole CS to retreat to if needed. We only needed 1 full rejuv for Kasim and then a few health pots to take them out.
Screenshot018.jpg

Diablo himself on P3 was quick and painless, only taking 2 mana pots. He mostly just cast lightning hose, which isn't an issue in NM if you just stand right on top of him. Fortunately CS requires that anyways, so no problems. Drop wasn't anything spectatacular.
Screenshot020.jpg

I bought a lance from Larzuk once we got to Act 5 since we'd picked up another Sol and crafted a slightly better Safety spear for Kasim. It rolled with +1 to amazon skills, not bad that both +skills mods we've rolled via crafting have been for the amazon!
